It's a known fact that we genealogy researchers are "trying to get back to the ship" meaning, of course, The Mayflower. And although all of our immigrant ancestors didn't arrive on The Mayflower, they did all arrive in ships. So we search for days, months, or years, in an effort to determine who came over, from where, and when. I have an ancestor William DODD whose parents are presenting a very challenging puzzle! So, after careful consideration and years of searching, I have decided the ship he arrived in was a SPACEship!! Now I need to determine which galaxy he came from, so I have solicited the help of these nice Elmonians to help me in my search. I checked with the National Archives, and they do not YET have these records available. And it looks like my friends are having a difficult time finding him also!!
UPDATE: William's parents were probably Edward DODD and Mary LITTLER of VA. Edward's parents were William DODD ("the Quaker") and Catherine NEEDERHAM or NEEDERMAN. [For the LITTLER lineage, click HERE.]
