This quilt was started in a class by Ellen Anne Eddy. It is mostly thread painted with the addition of beads and Ellen's hand dyed cheese cloth. My hand dyed fabric was used for the leaves and binding. Size is 18" x 17.5".

There is one mushroom without any spots, hence the title "Spot-less". My thinking on this was how I often feel in a crowd of people. If you have ever read the book by Max Lucado titled You Are Special you will understand more of my thoughts on this quilt. Most people are looking to others for praise and acceptance (the gold stars) and if you aren't approved of you receive grey dots. I think for me I am learning I need to look to God for my acceptance and praise rather than people so the "dots" and "stars" do not stick.

This quilt has been accepted into APNQ and will be displayed at the Seattle Center August 13th to 15th, 2004.
