DePiro HouseEast Sydney - New South Wales
The Paulist Missionaries opened their first house in New South Wales in January, 1964. This was situated in East Sydney, almost in the heart of the city itself. The idea was to be close to the many Maltese migrants who were living close to the area. In 1997 the old house was demolished, to make way for a new building. This incorporates more modern facilities and a bigger chapel, better equipped to cater for the needs of the people.
