PET MEMORIAL PAGE

People have different beliefs about what happens to our pets when they leave this world.  Some beleive they go to Heaven and others believe that Heaven is only for humans.  I beleive that our pets go to Rainbow Bridge and wait there for us to pass on and then they accompany us to Heaven.

Romans Chapter 8, Verses 18-21
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

The Future Glory
Romans Chapter 8, Verses 18-22
18 I consider that what we suffer at this present time cannot be compared at all with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.
19 All of creation waits with eager longing for God to reveal his sons. 20 For creation was condemned to lose its purpose, not  of its own will, but because God willed it to be so.  Yet there was the hope that creation itself would one day be set free from its slavery to decay and would share the glorious freedom of the children of God.

Molly
Molly was our beloved Springer Spaniel.
She was smart. Always eager to please.
She brought us much pleasure and joy.  She became sick with cancer and as her conditioned worsened we felt that the only option left was to let her go.
So Molly left this earth in my arms knowing that  she was loved.

The Rainbow Bridge
Inspired by a Norse Legend

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this goldeen land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in saddness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For  just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet,
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The saddness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over...together.

~A PARTING PRAYER~
Dear Lord, please open your gates and call St Francis to come escort this beloved companion of mine across the Rainbow Bridge.  Assign him to a place of honor for he has been a faithful servant
and has always done his best to please me.  Bless the hands that sent him to you, for they are doing so in love and compassion, freeing him from pain and suffering.  Grant me. the strength not to dwell on my loss.  Help me remember the details of his life with the love he has shown me.  And grant me the courage to honor him by sharing those memories with others.  Let him remember me as well  and let him know that I will always love him.  and when it's my time to pass over into paradise, please allow him to accompany those who will bring me home.  Thank you, Lord for the gift of his companionship and for the time we've had together.  And thank you, Lord, for granting me the strenghth to give him to You now.  AMEN
