1. JOHN¹ HUNT was born Abt. 1801 in Highland Co., OH, and died Abt. 1850 in Brown Co., OH. He married ALAH FLORENCE June 22, 1826 in Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH, daughter of JOHN FLORENCE and HANNA ?.

Notes for ROBERT BENTON HUNT: Not sure of birth date. Because John Hunt died in 1850 according to notes from Lenora Sammons.

2. SYLVESTER² HUNT (JOHN¹) was born January 28, 1844 in Morrow, Warren Co., OH, and died October 27, 1899 in Xenia, Greene County, OH. He married JANE SELF Abt. 1865 in IN?, daughter of JAMES SELF and RACHEL BUNDY.

Notes for SYLVESTER HUNT: Notes from Greene Room, (Xenia, OH): Woodland Cemetery inscription: Sylvester Hunt died 27 October 1893, buried near him was Pearl Hunt. (they note could have been misread, he died in 1899)

Notes for JANE SELF: Greene Room (Xenia, OH) notes state: Jane Hunt is listed in Xenia city directory for 1901-02 and 1909-10 as widow of Sylvester living at 61 Center Street. Jane is listed in the 1910 Greene Co. Census, Ward 1, Xenia city, page 113A: HUNT, Jane, age 60 widow b. IN, parents b. IN

Two children, William (age 26) and Frederick (age 23), were living with her, occupations rope maker. Another son lived next door, Harley (age 28) he was also a rope maker. They probably worked at Hooven &U Allison, which is very close to Center Street. This company is still in business.

Listed in the 1910 Greene Co., OH census, Ward 1, Xenia city, page 113A: Age 23, occupation as rope maker. He was living with his widow mother Jane.

3. THOMAS BENTON³ HUNT (SYLVESTER², JOHN¹) was born April 12, 1868 in Xenia, Greene County, OH, and died July 05, 1944 in Portland, OR. He married JANE HENRIETTA TAYLOR 1891 in Ephraim, UT, daughter of MARTIN VAN BUREN TAYLOR and AMANDA HART.
