Miss Sneddon - January 2000My BRick WaLLs!
Samuel Pinkerton,* born about 1799 in VA, died 1853 in Madison County, Illinois. His first child was born in Tennessee in 1828. The second child is born in 1830 in Madison County, Illinois. Would like to find Samuel's parents!!! Also do not know Samuel's wife name. She died before the 1850 census. No cemetery records for her in that area.
F. Jane Steward, possibly born in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Co., IL. She married David J. Brumbaugh in 1854. David died in 1865 in Goshen, Elkhart Co. Indiana. They had five children at the time of his death. What happened to Jane and children? WHAT I HAVE LEARNED OF "JANE"...JD Brumbaugh married in Lawrence Co., IL to Terressa J. Stewart on 12/27/1854 D/203. So her name might be "Terressa J." rather than F. Jane. The Elkhart Co., Indiana cemetery site has David J. Brumbaugh and Teracy J. on page 249 of their cemetery book. So either "Teracy" or "Terressa".
John Pembroke,* father of Enos Pembroke. Enos was born in NY in 1776. John was possibly from England. Would like to know the name of Enos' mother and more about his father. John Pembroke "was an Englishman who migrated to this country and settled near Schenectady. He was a sea captain, and was taken sick and died while making preparations for a voyage." (History of Macoupin County, Illinois, 1879)
