Peyto Lake

Peyto Lake

Peyto Lake

After passing Bow Lake we stopped at Peyto Lake. The view from above is spectacular and well worth the short walk to the ledge overlooking the valley below. The milky, blue-green color of the lake results from a high content of suspended sediment (rock flour) washed in from nearby Bow Glacier.
