"Shape Shifter"
Hello all. My name is Christine. My hobbies are dogs, sports, horses, 4-H, woodworking, outdoors things, being with my family, and Fighting the Gulf War fight! Being an Army Brat, I spent alot of my life on the move. Mostly in Germany. That is where I got into German Shepherds. I guess I have always been an animal lover, and have always known that I wanted to become a Veterinarian.
I guess I should start with the most important....My family! I'm married to a wonderful man, named Robert and we have 4 children (only 3 living). Robert and I have known each other since 1985. But we didn't get married until 1990. Five (5) days after we were married, Robert was shipped off to the Gulf war. It was a hard time because we already had 2 children, and I was pregnant with our son, Jeremy. But there wasn't much that could keep us apart! Robert is now very ill due to his service in the Gulf, but we really try not to let that interfer with our family life! We share everything, and try to make the best of the time that we have left!
Now comes my kids! Yes, like most parents, they drive me crazy at time, But I wouldn't trade them for the world! I'm very active in my oldest daughter's 4-h clubs, and even trying to become an advisor for next years dog club! Megan is my oldest. She is very much, a Lady. She is totally boy crazy at this age, into hanging with her girlfriends, and playing 'mommy' to her sisters. She has a bit of an attitude, but I guess that comes with the age. Then there is Victoria. Vicky is a very outgoing, well rounded, intelligent child. *kinda like mom! *S** Of course, she is also VERY headstrong, which makes it really difficult at times. We had alot of fun last year with her baseball, and are really looking forward to it again! Tiffany, well....She's just the baby. And like most baby's in the family, she is totally spoiled! *S* But again, I love them all, and they are my life!
Well since I'm being totally honest here, I must admit my downfall now...and that would be dogs! I must admit that my dogs are the one thing, the only thing, that actually comes before my husband! I have always been a dog lover, and can remember times when I was a child when I would bring home a dog, and tell my mom it was just a 'stray' I found! She began to catch on when I started bringing them home with a leash, bowls, food, and they already had a name! *Laughing* But that didn't stop me! I have always been drawn to larger breed dogs, and spending most of my life in Germany, just fell in love with the German Shepherd! Since the hubby is not much of a dog person, *although he does LOVE labs!*, there isn't much support or understanding for my love and passion for my dogs! But that's fine with me, because I know deep in my heart that my dogs understand!
