European TenSing Festival
Kiskoros 31.07 - 05.08 1997
BRIDGES - BRUCKEN - HIDAK
This summer in a Hungarian town Kiskoros there were 3rd European TenSing festival. About 1 500 young people from almost all European contries came there and spend 6 days together. This is my personal view on this event.
1st day - Thursday 31. July
At 9 am we left our TenSing camp in Rasovice where we spent 10 days. We went to Brno where we met rest of Czech expediton. 2 buses, 70 people, started their journey toward Kiskoros. It was really hot weather. We arrived to Kiskoros after 8 pm. About an hour we were searching our place for sleeping, so we came to the main festival hall ( a sport hall ) just at the end of welcomeprogram.
I was a leader of an Inputgroup so I had to go to the meeting of them. After this meeting I went to sleep because I was very tired ( I slept only 6 hours in previous two days ).
2nd day - Friday 1. August
After Bible input people could choice a leader of their Inputgroup ( we leaders stood in a row - slave market). Because I was stading at the back, my group had only 4 person so next day we joined to another groups and I wasn't a leader any more :).
In every group there were about 10 persons. These groups helped to get to know better members of each group, think over thema of devotion, festival or just speak about various thing. Each group had its "official" language ( most of them had English ). These group were really international. In my group there were 4 Czechs, 4 Norewegains, 2 Eglishwomen, 2 Estonians and a Swiss.
After lunch I visited a presentation of TenSing Bratislava (Slovakia). And then I had go to the sport hall because there were presentation of TenSing Czech republic.

In the evening Euroteam had its concert. If you don't know that, there is little explanation : Euroteam is an activity for spreading TenSing ideas over Europe ( mainly Central and Eastern ). It perfom in summer when some groups visit various summer camps with its program. There in Kiskoros they showed what they had prepared. But I talked most of its presentation with Johan, a Danish boy who I met in February in Strasbourg.

3rd day - Saturday 2. August
In the afternon we went to a trip to puszta ( a Hungarian prerie ). We were sitting in the train for an hour, sleeping when Danishes came and woke everybody with their crying "TenSing, TenSing Denmark !!!" and invitation for their concert. At this moment everybody loved them.

In puszta we came to a farm where we saw a show with horses, ate original Hungarian goulasch and learnt Hungarian dances.
When we returned to Kiskoros I went to cinema. There were a film Jesus Christ Superstar which I love, but I was so tired that I was more sleepping than watching.
4th day - Sanday 3. August
This day I was really deep affected by devotion. It was a drama and a song "Under the Bridges" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers had an important part within. It was about lonliness and God's love.

In the afternoon I visited a concert of TenSing Helsing which I liked most of all concert I saw in Kiskoros because they were good and because I met 3 from them in Strasbourg.

This day ended by Gospelnight in Lutheran church. But for me this day was very important because I met a very interesting girl (BTW she was from Czech republic also, we had to go to Hungary to meet us).
5th day - Modnday 4. August
Last day ! In the afternoon there were building of bridge on which each participant has a brick with his/her name. This bridge is a monument of this festival.

After dinner there were United colour of TenSing in Sport hall. Each contry had 4 minuts for its presentation.
Then there were free program til 1 am when evrybody had to go to sleep ( or be in schools where slept ).
6rd day - Tuesday 5. August
Last rehearsal of Festival choir, final service. And at 12 am we said our farwel, got on our buses and started our journey home.
