My sewing machines
|
Bernina 1630
I may never learn all of her capabilities. She can do everything and I still buy accessories. My number one favorite feature is the needle up/needle down, a definite bonus for any quilter.

Bernina 830
The best mechanical machine ever made!! She is a true workhorse, made in the late 70's, and purrs like a kitten while sewing.
|
Viking Serger 905
This serger has the look of a traditional sewing machine, is easy to thread, and hums nicely. She is still being broke in and am considering upgrading to the 936 for that coveted cover stitch.

Singer Featherweight 221 - birthdate June 5, 1955
My first impression when meeting her was "how little!". Her condition is a number 8, has all original attachments, but needs a tune up.
|
Singer Genie c1974
When comparing her to the rest of my collection she is not the best, but she was my very first machine, received at Christmas 1974, and is made in France. I have all her attachments and still she sews well. She resides in my daughter's bedroom.

Kenmore c1948
I purchased her a few years ago at a garage sale because she is an exact model of my mother's sewing machine - the one I learned to sew on. She will sew through any thickness and her tension is set for a beautiful stitch. I reserve her for heavy decorative sewing. And I have the original ruffler and buttonhole attachments.
