My Scrapbook Pages |

The Strikers Used soccer stickers by NRN and a few others. Can't remember where I got the big soccer ball die cut. |
Click on a thumbnail to see a bigger picture. I started scrapbooking in the Spring of 1998. I enjoy it very much. There is so much more that I want to do. It's hard to find the time! I get most of my supplies from local arts and crafts supply stores and I am so excited that I found a fairly close scrapbook store!! Oh, and I buy stuff off the internet, too. I'm glad that scrapbooking is so popular that so many places are carrying the supplies. I've been inspired by pages I've seen on the web and some things I've come up with all by myself. I participate on Dana's Scrapbooking Club on Yahoo, and two e-mail scrapbook lists. Plus I've met some local scrapbooking buddies from the web and we try to get together once a month to scrap. I wanted to share my pages on the web. I just got my scanner and I'm not sure if I'm scanning at the right resolution--the pictures look kind of grainy to me. Since my pages are 12 X 12 and by scanner is 8.5 X 11, I have to splice two scans together to get most of the page (and I still managed to cut off the edge on some of them!) The seam is kind of hokey. But I think you can get the general idea. Click on a thumbnail to see a bigger picture. Happy scrappin'! J

Kickin' Used my circle cutter to cut the big white ball. Used Coluzzles nested hexagon template to cut the hexagons--thanks Reagan! :) The background is a field/grass print paper. Cock-a-doodle "Kickin'" Page Topper and a few NRN stickers.
Happy New Year 2000 Used PuzzleMates Beach template to make the clock. Used confetti paper background, with a 2000 8.5 X 11 page. Added some red star punchies. Used a larger red-star to journal on.
Loads of Love Used Frances Meyer laundry stickers and the background paper from Oxmoor House Memories in the Making. Added some heart punchies. Used a heart template to journal.
Haircut by Keith Entered this in Cock-a-doodle Design's contest. Haven't heard if it's a finalist. I used the Cock-a-doodle Design "Haircut" Page Topper with Haircut Page Pieces. I added the "by Keith" trying to use the same style as the page topper. I used my oval cutter to make the mirrors, free drawing/cutting the handles.
Splash! This was a finalist in the Sep '99 Cock-a-doodle Designs contest! I used the Cock-a-doodle Design "Splash" page topper. The background is a pool print by Wubie. I used Frances Myer splash stickers and used them to make bigger splash templates for my pics. Also used a couple of Stickapotamus stickers (canoe and beachball.)
Pokemon--Gotta Catch 'Em All I traced the Pokemon characters onto acid-free card stock, cut them out and embellished them using gel pens and punches. I traced the title and colored it with scrapbooking markers. I mounted the pictures in matching yellow and blue.
Future Astronauts The silver metallic didn't scan in very well. The letters are silver metallic. The paper doll (pattern from makingfriends.com) is silver. The pictures are matted with silver. The text is written with a silver gel pen on black card stock matted with silver. The stickers are Stickopotamus. The background is "Galaxy" by Wubie. The NASA logo and STS-78 crew patch are from a NASA web page. The pictures are my guys behind various life-sized astronaut cut-outs through the years, and Lance in his astronaut costume. I scanned in Lance's 'When I grow up I want to be an astronaut' art work (and reduced it to fit on the page.) The text tells the story of how the STS-78 space station crew signed his picture!
Keith's 1st Baseball Game Used 12 X 12 grass print paper for background. Trimmed a strip off the top and used "ActionIs" font for the title and dotted the "i" with a baseball, and hung a baseball cap on the "G." Used brown paper to make baseball diamond and to mat a couple of diamond shaped pics. Added red baseball seams to a couple of white circles to mat a couple of circle pics.
Halloween My first double page spread! Mounted black paper trimmed about 3/4" on the edges (except center edge) on pumpkin print paper. Mounted some pics on orange pumpkin shapes. Double matted other pics on orange and yellow. Cut out letters for Halloween from candy corn paper. Used some stickers (sprinkling candy corns around on the page.
Waiting for Santa Keith fell asleep after setting out cookies and milk for Santa. I took a picture of him asleep at the table. I used a Christmas tree stencil to cut out a picture of our actual tree. I took pictures of what Santa brought each boy, and mounted the pictures as gifts with bows and to/from tags from Santa.
Birthday Star Keith's 4th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. I started with a great picture of him with Chuck E. Chuck E is holding balloons with pictures of some of the party guests. In the star, Keith is wearing a birthday crown, and I added a picture of the cake. I stenciled in some confetti and streamers to jazz it up a little. |
||
Veterans Day Our local elementary school has a special Veterans Day program each year. They ask the students to invite veterans that they know. My dad is a veteran and he was honored to participate in the program. I used patriotic stickers and Navy stickers for the page. |
||
At the Park I took pictures of Keith playing at the park. I took an 8 X 10 page of green grass and tilted it on the bright blue background. I matted the pictures in various shapes on bright paper and added some playground stickers. |
||
Ball at the Beach I drew a beach ball and cut each section from a different color. Then I cut pictures to go with each section. I added beach stickers and pre-cuts and stenciled some sea life. I saw the idea of a beach ball page on the web (somewhere!) |
||
Feeding the Seagulls Took pictures of my boys feeding some seagulls. Used a light tan for the bottom (sand) of the page; A medium blue for the water (and angled it to match the shore in the middle picture); and a swirl-ly blue for the sky. Cut out a big seagull and mounted a picture of a couple of flying seagulls on it. Cut out some smaller seagulls out of white paper. Added the sun and cloud pre-cuts and a few beach stickers. |
||
Easter This is the first page I did. Cute idea, but lacks experience. J And I didn't like my first attempt at "journaling" so I tried white-out but the ink bled through. I had this huge sheet of pink paper and I thought it would be pretty to make an Easter basket, but I couldn't get the basket weave to look right. I might re-do this page at some point. |
||
Star Gazing This was a fun page. We and some friends went out star gazing one night (looking for the Hale-Bopp comet.) I took some night pictures and thought up this page. I used a navy blue background and a silver pen. I cut out white stars and put the pictures on them. |
||
Chicken Pox This was the second page I did. Fun and easy! I had pictures from when my boys had the chicken pox. I sprinkled some little red circles around the page, and mounted a couple of round pictures on big red circles. (On the scanned images, I painted over their underwear--I don't know why. It just didn't seem appropriate to publish pictures of them in their underwear!) |
||
Tractor Guys This is my favorite series of pictures. I didn't even realize the sequence I had snapped until the pictures were developed! My dad is on a big green tractor. Lance is on a toy green tractor. Picture 1--Lance is turned around looking at my dad who is about to point at the camera. Picture 2--Lance and my dad are pointing at the camera. Picture 3--they are smiling at the camera! |
