August 10, 1998 Chief Dorsey and Members of the Deer Park Fire Department Dear Mr. Dorsey On behalf of the Aliaga family, we would like to thank you, your staff, all the firefighters and Junior firefighters for all the support and understanding that was given to us in our moment of sorrow. We are specially thankful to all of you for making my son Mark's final day such a special one, by bestowing upon him with such Honors at his funeral. For this and many other things we will be eternally grateful. There are so many people we would like to thank for touching our lives by showing such respect for Mark. To the Honor Guard, for displaying their respect at the funeral home, which provided my family with great pride. To the Pallbearers for giving Mark, the honor of being carried by his brethren firefighters. To the many firefighters from surrounding areas whom were kind enough to show their respects. We were overwhelmed with pride upon seeing the fire trucks, which my son was fond of, caring all of the lovely floral arrangements and purple flags, which escorted him to his final Resting Place. A journey, that although very difficult for us, left us feeling honored and extremely privileged. Words alone could not express our gratitude for the tribute of the "pass by" that was presented in honor of Mark, for my family. It was such a display of respect and emotion that forever stay in our hearts and minds. As parents we are deeply honored and thankful for such great outpouring of support and generosity by the Deer Park Fire Department for this we will forever in your debt.
