Gambia Report - 2

The border of Senegal. Posing with the guide, who shows the passports. I made this trip to Senegal just because I wanted to have 3 more stamps in my passport. Senegal didn't look different from The Gambia.

With a small boat we sailed to a small island where a tribe lives very isolated. It was scary, because this tribe practises voodoo. Some women did some ritual African dances. I was glad when we left again. But the trip through the mangrove bush was exciting.

In this restaurant they kept a strange pet, a pelican. Sometimes it bites the guest, but that doesn't hurt, it feels like cardboard!

On the roof-terrace of a restaurant. It is really great to have dinner in the open-air. We sat here until midnight and then it is still warm outside. I wished we had this in Holland, for that's really rare!

Climbing a coco-tree.

While shopping we attracted a lot of children. They all want to touch you and if possible they pose for a picture.

View from the hotel.

The hotel apartment. This is devided in 4 large rooms. Fortunately with airconditioning. In the center of each apartment they planted a tree.
