He changed into a spirit form, with none of earth’s restraints;
Though surely He was tempted to just go on home again,
He came back down to pay with His own blood for all my sins.

While on this earth He suffered, and His sacred blood was shed,
And yet He lived a blameless life, even came back from the dead.
But one thing we can count on, when the way seems cold and dim:
He promised He’ll come back again, to take us home with Him!
