With formal education, intellectual power,
I tried to understand everything;
But when I read the Bible, all I understood,
Was that I didn't know anything.
For human understanding can't begin to know
This mystery that I can't explain:
Just faith like a small child's is God's simple way
To save us from sorrow and pain.
He said,

Let the little children come unto me,
Don't try to keep them away.
For theirs is the kingdom, eternal and free;
And there is no other way.

I'd exercise and work out, to build up my strength,
And build up my fitness and power;
But that power is useless, my strength is in vain,
I can't lengthen my life one short hour.
He watches and guards us, with His mighty hand,
And He cares about those who are weak;
Though I'm helpless and powerless as a small babe,
Like a small child, His presence I seek.
He says,
