Of all the inventions that mankind has made,
one stands out
from all of the rest;
Some things we made up have faded away,
but this one's stood
up to the test.
Not airplanes or rockets, or phone or TV;
no, this time our
progress was real;
Of course I am talking about that great day
when someone invented
the "wheel..."

As in... "we'll" work together, and "we'll" share our things,
And "we'll" be best buddies, whatever life brings;
And "we'll" help our brother to carry his load,
And "we'll" love each other, as we travel life's road....

We've got celebrations almost every month,
and special traditions
for each;
With family reunions and sales at the store,
and trips to
the mountains or beach;
There's Easter and Thanksgiving, Fourth of July,
Memorial
Day and the rest,
But late in December's our favorite one:
we seem to like
"Yule"-time the best...

As in... "you'll" have to do it, I don't have the time;
And "you'll" have to clean it, this mess isn't mine;
And "you'll" have to pay it, or "you'll" have to go,
And "you'll" be embarrassed, and "you'll" feel so low.

In all of my years I've seen many church buildings;
there isn't
much diff'rence at all.
The important part's not the steeple or pulpit,
or altar,
or curtains, or walls.
We don't need an organ, or carpets,or pews,
we don't have
to wear the new styles,
But no church can grow and deliver God's news,
unless
it contains a big "aisle..."

As in... "I'll" teach the children, and "I'll" read His
Book,
And "I'll" sing His anthems, and "I'll" help to cook;
And "I'll" tell the good news, the Truth must be heard,
And "I'll" be His witness, and live by His word.

And "Wheel" walk together, on Heaven's Highway.
