The Hudson family came from England to Connecticut in the 1600's, and early on settled at East Hampton, Long Island. In the mid-18th Century my branch moved to New Jersey, eventually to Sussex County. In the 1830's John Hudson and his wife, the former Mary Hibler, moved to Oakland County, Michigan, and then in the early 1840's to Clayton, Genesee County, Michigan.
