COME WITH ME ON A SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY

I'm a child of the '60's.*** Hippies, the Beatles, Ed Sullivan, the Twist, Ford Mustangs, drive-in theaters, youth, memories.***

Sit down, grab a glass of vanilla coke and stay a bit while I relive my youth. I think you will find a few memories along this journey that you thought you'd forgotten.

Hang on to your tie-dyed T-shirt.... here we go!

Go see what was up the year you were born or any year that you find memorable. How much was a loaf of bread? gas? who won an oscar? This is such a neat site, make sure you bookmark it and go back often.

I was born in 1951 and am an Aquarian, heaven forbid! I don't believe in astrology so why I told you that tidbit about being an Aquarian I don't know. It seemed to be important back then.

Oh, the sixties! Everything was changing. And fast. Our parents couldn't keep up and thought we were the "crazy generation". The 60's saw the birth of the "generation gap", "flower power", "the British Invasion", the "mini skirt" and "micro mini skirt". It brought back into vogue long hair on men.... "unisex" was born.

It was the generation where definitions changed. "Free love" was not a trip to a generous hooker. The term "trip" ceased to be taken on an airplane and yet you flew. "Gay" was not a happy state of mind.

The sixties saw a new and improved Elvis. Even our parents began liking him. Especially when the unruly foursome from Britain invaded our hearts.

"Ladies and Gentlemen.....The Beatles"....

Do you remember the first time they were on The Ed Sullivan show?

I won't even begin to try to create this site on my own. There are just too many people ahead of me that have done a far better job than I could ever hope to do.

Follow the links and have a great time remembering.
