If tenderness is a virtue,
I know only one virtuous person.
Kindnes is needed, and given,
By a caring friend to all.
Innocence radiates aroun her,
And warms my trembling heart.
Childish joy and adult emotions blend,
To create an irreplaceable woman.
Anyone who cares as much as she,
Surely deserves better than me.
A woman to lay down your life for,
A gem in a world of coal.
One who needs what so few can give,
I fear to sleep,
For it may be a dream.
And if I were to wake alone,
I could do no more than cry.
