Mrs. Viola May Christman, 45, wife of Louis Christman of Waverly, died at
Grant Hospital, Columbus at 11:35 am Tuesday, following an operation and an extended
illness.
She was born Jan 29, 1900, the daughter Jack and Ida Mae Ackley White of Waverly.
Her mother preceded her in death. She was a member of the Pilgrim Mission at
Waverly.
She is survived in addition to her husband by a son, James, of the home: three
daughters, Mrs. Betty Christman and Mrs. Ruth Renshaw of Waverly and Mrs. Anna
Mae Nichols of Omega: seven grandchildren: eight brothers, Joe White of Waverly,
Route 1, linotype operator on the Waverly Herald, Cecil and Jack White Jr., of
Columbus Arthur of Youngstown, Claytor White of the Navy, Ora and Oren White
of Orient, and Pvt. Floyd White of the Army overseas: one sister. Mrs. Mildred
Whittikugle of Youngstown and her father. Jack White of Orient.
Services will be conducted at the Boyer funeral home by the Rev. H R Cartwright
at 2 p m Friday and interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly
