David A Ackley, 56, of 245 Cheshire Road, died this morning at the Hillcrest Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Franklin, Mr Ackley had lived in Pittsfield 28 years and all that time was employed by the Boston & Albany Railroad.. He was a member of the brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors are his wife, the former Louetta Martell, three sons, David Charles of this city, John David of the United States Navy and Fred Leon of the United States Army, three brothers, Fred of West Springfield, Leroy of Blandford and Charles of Westfield.
The body rests at the Newton & Barnfather Funeral Home where services will be Thursday after noon at 3:30.
