GAYLEN MARK ACKLEY died peacefully shortly after 6:00 pm on September 4, 2002 in Bellville General Hospital in Bellville, Texas. Mark fought a courageous and inspiring battle against cancer. Mark was born to C. Gaylen Ackley and George Ann Johnson on January 21, 1960 in Richmond, Texas. He grew up in Austin County and leaves behind a host of family and friends that will miss him always. Mark was employed at Industry Telephone Company in Industry, Texas for 28 years and was elected 7 times as Constable of Austin County Precinct 2. He served his community with pride and dedication. Mark was preceded in death by his father, C. Gaylen Ackley and his mother, George Ann Johnson Janosky. Mark is survived by his devoted, loving wife Michelle Barton Ackley and their adorable children, Nicholas Mark, Allison Michelle and Christopher Mark, "Other Mother" Mary Ann Ackley of Industry, Texas, "Other Father" Raymond Janosky of Bellville, Texas, In-laws Barbara and Bob Hedrick of Houston, Texas, his brothers, sisters and families: Robin and Harold Marek and family of New Ulm, Texas, Sheila and Curt Raeke and family of New Ulm, Larry Ackley of Austin, Raymond Janosky Jr. of Bellville, Kim and Rodney Wendt and son of Bellville, and Scott Janosky of Bellville. Grandmothers Thelma Walker Ackley of New Ulm, Texas and Clementine Schattel Barton of Houston, Texas. Mark leaves behind numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
