Mr and Mrs E F Ackley
GAINSVILLE, Texas, May 17- Mr and Mrs E F Ackley, for twenty-seven years residence
of Gainesville, observed their golden wedding anniversary at their home.
Mrs Ralph Richards, Mrs Rose Letcher and Mrs George Ackley, daughters and daughter-in-law,
entertained in their honor with a reception and family reunion. Out-of-town
guest included Sanford Cooper, Oklahoma City; Mrs Kate Senning, Spur, and Mr
and Mrs Earl Senning, Dallas.
Mr and Mrs Ackley, the former Miss Frankie Finch, were childhood schoolmates
in Minnesota and were married in Minneapolis on May 13, 1888.
When they came to Gainesville Mr Ackley was the first Ford dealer. Since 1915
he has operated an automobile repair shop and remains actively in charge of the
business.
Mr and Mrs Ackley are the parents of four children, George and Paul Ackley,
Mrs Ralph Richards and Mrs Rose Letcher. There are eleven grandchildren and
