Funeral services will be at 4 p.m.Saturday for Mrs. George H Ackley, 62, of 3528
University Boulevard, a resident of Dallas sixteen years.
Mrs. Ackley died Tuesday in a Gallup, N.M., hospital from injuries received in
an automobile accident on Aug. 26 between Gallup and Grants, NM
Rites will be at the Sparkman- Brand Funeral Chapel, 2115 Ross, with Dr. Harlin
J. Roper, pastor of the Scofield Memorial church, assisted by the Rev. W. E.
Hawkins, officiating. Burial will be in1 Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The former Miss Nannie Elizabeth Betts, Mrs. Ackley was born in Gainesville,
She attended North Texas State College in Denton and taught school several years
in Gainesville and Valley View, Cooke County, before her marriage in 1919.
She was a member of the Scofield Memorial Church and was a former member of the
Order of Eastern Star.
Other than her husband, Mrs., Mrs Ackley is survived by three sons, the Rev
George H Ackley Jr, of Bellingham, Wash.; Ernest F Ackley, a missionary to Africa
who is now home on leave, and Karl S Ackley, also of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs
William A Pearson of Fort Worth and Mrs Dyton B Matthews of Madill, Okla., and
eleven grand children.
Pallbearers will be I E Morrow, J F Ferguson, G L Boedeker, P S Elmore, J D
