36. Hazel ACKLEY was born about 1934 in Vermont.⁴⁴ She was living in Feb 1968 in Marathon. Cortland , New York.³⁷ She died on 29 Oct 2006 in Marathon. Cortland , New York.⁴⁴ Her Obituary appeared in the Press & Sun-Bulletin on 2 Nov 2006 in Binghamton, Broome, New York Hazel (Ackley) Marano, 72, passed away on October 29, 2006 after a long illness. A well loved wife and mother, Hazel was also an artist, craftswoman, gardener and avid writer to many pen pals around the world. Born in Vermont and raised in New Jersey, she resided for 35 years in Marathon and a further decade in Whitney Point. She will be missed greatly by those she left behind: her husband of 48 years, Michael; her sons, Michael III, Mitchell and Christopher; and her daughter, Patricia; as well as her brother, Walter; and sisters-in-law, Irene, Betsy and Polly; and the family's "Aunt" Pat. Beyond these, she will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she was able to touch in many ways.
