Mr and Mrs John S O'Toole of 1026 Wescott Street announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Frances Katherine O'Toole, to Benjamin H Ackley of 223 Hood Avenue, in Saint Therese's Church on Tuesday morning, Aug 12 at 9 o'clock. The Rev Gerald Dunn performed the ceremony and celebrated the nuptial mass in a setting of white garden flowers. Miss Joan Kelley played the organ and sang several selections, among the “Ave Maria” The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory illusion with a bodice of Chantilly lace over ivory slipper satin. The bride's sister, Mrs Charles J Curran wore the same gown at her wedding two years ago. The bride's finger tip length veil had a band of orange blossoms around the edge. She carried her mother's prayer book with a spray of white sweet peas. Mrs O'Toole had carried the same white prayer book at her wedding. The matron of honor, Mrs Charles J Curran, sister of the bride, wore a gown of heavenly blue net over taffeta, a French blue lace jacket and matching Mary of Scots hat. She carried a colonial bouquet of Picardy gladioli and maiden hair fern. The bride's mother , Mrs O'Toole. Wore a saddle brown print crepe dress with a saddle brown jacket and natural straw hat and accessories. She had a corsage bouquet of Talisman roses. Mrs Ackley, the bridegroom's mother, wore a navy blue sheer print dress with a French blue felt hat and while accessories. She had a corsage bouquet of Talisman roses. Ronald J Keegan was best man and Dr John S O'Toole of Potsdam, brother of the bride, and Edward Yehle were ushers. A wedding breakfast was served at Drumlins for the bridal party and the immediate families. When the couple left for a trip to Mt Tremblant in the Laurentian Mountains in Canada, the bride wore a costume of black and white coin dot crepe dress with a red wool jacket, black felt hat and black accessories. She had a corsage bouquet of bronze orchids. On return, the couple will live in the Bara Apartments in East Kennedy Street in Syracuse. The bride is an alumna of Syracuse Normal School and is a member of the faculty of Prescott School.
