AREA MAN KILLED IN CRASH

PHILADELPHIA - A 69 year old Philadelphia man was killed and another man injured in a three car collision on route 611 in suburban Cheltenham Twp. Monday night. Investigators said W Nelson Ackley died four hours after he was admitted to Abington Memorial Hospital. Police said Ackley was attempting to make a left turn off 611 into Township Rd when his auto collided with a car driven by Albert Corruzzi, 37, of Willow Grove and then careened into a third car waiting for the light to change. Ackley was fatally injured when he was thrown to the highway. Corruzzi was treated for face injuries at the same hospital and discharged. The operator of the third auto, Herbert Weinhold escaped injury. He appeared in the census 1900, 1920 & 1930 in Pennsylvania.
