Houston hospital. He was formerly associated with Primrose Petroleum Company,
Dallas and San Antonio. He moved to Houston in 1942 where he was associated
with Scurlock Oil Company. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church
and Holland Lodge Number 1, AF&AM. Survived by wife Mrs. Mary Louise Ackley;
mother, Mrs. Emma Ackley; son, William L Ackley, all of Houston; daughter, Mrs.
Mary Louise Hines, Crockett, Texas, Mrs. Nancy Crawford, Dallas; nine grandchildren;
nieces, Mrs. Sandra Tarver, Mrs. I D Hightower, both of Dallas. Services 3 pm
Friday, Settegast-Keef Kirby Chapel, Houston. Dr Thomas M Talbot officiating,
interment Forest Park Westminster, with graveside services under the direction
