29. Daniel Ackley FELL Sr⁴ was born on 29 May 1817 in Pittston, Luzerne , Pennsylvania.^{4,14,15,16,19,34,36} He died about 1897.⁴ He was coal dealer, architect, contractor and builder at Wilkes Barre, Luzerne , Pennsylvania.^16,17 He was a prominent building and general contractor and erected almost all the important buildings in his vicinity. At the time of the construction of the Lehigh and Susquehanna railroad he had charge of the building of the bridges, etc., and continued this arduous work until his seventy-eighth year.
He was highly esteemed for his business integrity and sterling qualities. He was actively Interested in public affairs and during the early coal operations was engaged in mining.
He erected the old courthouse on the public square and bought the old courthouse bell at Troy, NY on his wedding trip. He also built the old Wyoming Valley Hotel

Daniel Ackley FELL Sr and Elizabeth GRAY were married on 16 Jan 1855.^4,16,19 Elizabeth GRAY (daughter of Living and Living) was born on 4 Jan 1836 in Wilkes Barre, Luzerne , Pennsylvania.^4,19 She died on 8 Oct 1887.^4,19 Daniel Ackley FELL Sr and Elizabeth GRAY had the following children:
