Ora Samuel Pefley was born January 18, 1880, in Jackson county, Missouri; and passed away May 9, 1925. Death was caused from Cerebrospinal meningitis. When two years of age he with his parents moved Kansas where he grew to manhood and was married to Mary Adalaide Hollon (sic) in the year 1901. To this union was born two daughters, Thelma and Anna Mae. In 1918 he enlisted in the World War, 20th Infantry, Co. D. In the same year he was married to Mildred Mae Ackley at Junction City, Greary, Kansas. To this union was born a son, Glenn Lewis Pefley. In the year 1920 he with his family came to Medford where he resided until the time of his death. He joined the Seventh-day Adventist church in January 1921, to which he has been a faithful member. He leaves to morn his loss: his wife, Mildred Pefley of Medford, Jackson, OR, two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Piolatto and Mrs. Anna Mae Flannigan (sic), both of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California; his son, Glenn of Medford, Jackson, OR; five sisters, Mrs. Laura Morrison of Long Beach, California, Mrs. May Ferrier of Oklahoma, Mrs. Bertha Logston, Mrs. Florence Jones, Mrs. Viola Armitage, all of Kansas, and three brothers, Leonard Pefley of Kansas, William Pefley of Illinois, and Frank Pefley of Medford, Jackson, OR, besides a host of friends.
