1999 at his home in Tulsa, OK. Jess was born December 30, 1908 in Pryor,
OK, the eldest child of James and Nancy Jane Ackley Winters. He was
retired from the mobile home construction business and loved fishing and
gardening. He will be remembered for his casual approach to life, his
patience and his wit. Jess was preceded in death by: his parents; his
sisters, Margaret Lucy Winters Bussey, Mabel Irene Winters and Hazel
Allene Winters Morgan Wilson; a brother, Louis Andrew Winters; a nephew,
Steven Andrew Winters. He is survived by: brother, Byon Ackley Winters
of Tulsa; nephew, Tim Allen Winters of Tulsa; nephew and wife, Ryck and

Peggy Wilson of Tulsa; nephew and wife, Jim and Virginia Morgan of
Owasso; great-nephew, Jim Morgan, Jr. of Tulsa. For their compassionate

care the family thanks his doctors, nurses and the staff of Tulsa
Regional Medical Center, as well as the Tulsa Fire Department, EMSA,
Carter Home Care Services and Trinity Hospice. In accordance with Jess'

wishes, cremation handled by Oliver Whisenhunt Funeral Service of Tulsa;
private cremation ashes burial in the family plot at the Pryor, OK
cemetery.

Army-Air Force from April 3, 1942 - November 23, 1945. He was retired
from the radio and television repair business and loved to discuss
politics. He was fond of telling others about his experiences with his
1949 Ford and 1954 Studebaker. Byon was preceded in death by his
parents; his sisters, Margaret Lucy Winters Bussey, Mabel Irene Winters

and Hazel Allene Winters Morgan Wilson;
his brothers, Louis Andrew Winters and Jesse James Winters; and a
nephew, Steven Andrew Winters. He is survived by nephew, Tim Winters of

Tulsa, nephew and wife, Ryck and Peggy Wilson of Tulsa, nephew and wife,
Jim and Virginia Morgan of Owasso and great-nephew, Jim Morgan, Jr. of
Tulsa. Ninde Funeral Directors of Tulsa are in charge of Byon's
requested cremation. Military services will be conducted at the Ft.
Gibson National Cemetery. Ninde-Whisenhunt 742-5556.
