OSAN, Korea - Technical Sergeant Elmo D. Diggins, son of Mrs. Violet Brouse,
719 6th Ave., Altoona, Pa., recently arrived at Osan Air Base, Korea. He will
be assigned to the 6314th Air Base Wing here. A native of Irvona, Pa.. Sgt. Diggins
was stationed at McGuire AFB, N. J , before his assignment to Korea. The 15-year
military service veteran is married to the former Rebecca A. Ackley of Madera,

MADERA Thomas Michael Diggins, 15, son of Elmo and Rebecca (Ackley) Diggins,
died April 19 as the result of an accident in Japan where he resided with his
parents. Further details of the accident were unavailable He was born June 19.
1946 at Madera and is survived by his Parents; three brothers and a sister; William
and Elizabeth, both of Cherry Point, N C; Elmo Duane and John, both of Madera
and his grandparents, Mr and Mrs William Ackley of Madera. Friends may call
at the Shoff Funeral Home at Madera after 1 pm tomorrow until time of services
Monday at 2 pm. Services will be held from the funeral home with Rev Bruce
