Happy Endings!
The following are brief summaries of some of FOT's successful adoptions
Picked up as a stray puppy in Newark, New Jersey, he was nicknamed "Trouble" by shelter employees. He was loaded with worms, undernourished, and plagued with an upper respiratory infection. Once well, Luke was fostered with two other dogs, Jessie (APBT) and Cody (pit mix), and some time later was adopted briefly. When that home didn't work, Luke was returned to his foster home, who realized he fit in perfectly where he was, and adopted him. He now resides in Florida.
Hershey was taken by FOT from a local shelter after he'd been rescued by their staff along with a chihuahua mix. Both dogs were abandoned in a crate together in an inner city apartment after their owners moved out and left them behind. Hershey was fostered in a home with a pug and seven cats, and adopted at six months old. Hershey finished two levels of obedience training, and lives in Quakertown, NJ.
This lovely ebony and white pup was turned in to a mid-Jersey shelter by the mother of a teen who owned her for one week. Her past unknown, Seal was fostered at 4 1/2 months old in Blairstown, NJ with a family who also owned one dog and several cats. The family fell in love with her and adopted her two months later.
Boulder was rescued from an Essex County, NJ shelter. A kind member of the shelter organization had paid a sum of money to a youth who was seen holding the six month old pup in the air by his halter and beating him. FOT already had a screened home waiting for a young male, so after only two months in the shelter, Boulder found the perfect home in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
