Coffee County Court of Ordinary - December Term 1865
The will of Parish Lankford being produced in open court for probate by this, the executor, who has filed his petition to prove the same, and the witnesses to said will, William Carson and Delpha An Hall, having subscribed the following affidavit endorsed on said will.
December Term of Coffee Court of Ordinary came into open court at this regular term of the court. William Carson and Delpha An Hall, and being duly sworn, deposeth that they saw Parish Lankford sign and publish the witness as his last will and testament while of sound and disposing mind, that they witnessed the same for him at his request and in his presence and of each other, and that the same was executed voluntarily by him on the day it purports to have been executed.

Sworn to and subscribed before me in open court, December Term 1865, Daniel Lott, Ordinary, orderd that the will be admitted to record as satisfactorily proven in common form and that the executer, Hardy Hall, have leave to qualify and upon---------------that letters testamentary issue to him.
State of Georgia, Coffee County
In the name of God, Amen. I, Parish Lankford, of said state and county, being advanced in age, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it proper and right both as respects my family and myself that I should make a distribution of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me. I do, therefore, make this my last will and testimony, hereby, revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made
ITEM 1; First, I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. My soul, I trust, shall return to rest with God, who gave it, as I hope for salvation through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
ITEM 2; I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my executor here in after named and appointed.
ITEM 3; I give, bequeath, and devise to my beloved wife, Lupeny, half - lot of land, no.309, and the north side containing the premises and plantation, it lying and being in the sixth district of Appling County, now Coffee County, with all rights, members, and appurtenances to said half-of lot of land in any wise belonging free from all charges, limitation, whatsoever, to her own proper use, benefit, and behoof forever with during her life time and then to belong to Roan M. Lankford. I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife, in the same manner, the farming utensils, used and belonging to my farm on said lot of land and all my house hold and kitchen furniture and more, and all my sheep and hogs and an equal part among my cattle her life time and then to belong to Roan M. Lankford at her death.
ITEM 4; I give, bequeath to my beloved son, James A. Lankford, a half of lot of land no. 309 and the south side of said lot in the 6 district, originally Appling but now Coffee County, with all the rights, members, and appurtenances to said half of lot of land and otherwise belonging, free from all charge and limitations whatever to his own proper use, benefit and behoof forever with all power to dispose of the same as he deems best. I also give and bequeath to my beloved son, James, an equal part of my cattle with the rest
ITEM 5; I give and bequeath to my daughter, Salina, the west half of lot of land, the Branch being the line dividing the land no. 309 in the sixth district of Appling now Coffee County, with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said lot of land in any wise belonging free from all charges and limitations whatever to her own proper use, benefit and behoof forever with full power to dispose of the same by will for otherwise as she may deem proper. I also give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Salina, an equal part of my cattle with the rest of my heirs.
ITEM 6; I give and bequeath to my daughter, Maryan, half of lot of land no. 309 in the 6 district on the east side of said lot of land originally Appling now Coffee County with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said half of lot of land and any wise free from all charges, limitations to her own proper use, benefit and behoof forever with full power to dispose of the same by will or otherwise as she may deem proper. I also give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Maryan, an equal part with the rest.
ITEM 7; I hereby constitute and point my friend, Hardy Hall, my executor of my last will and testament, this the 25th day of February, 1865.
