Uncle Tom's NumbersThis program helps youngsters learn the fundamentals of all their future knowledge in math. Using this program builds on the precious time you spend with your child in both the basics of math and the computer. There are five interaction areas: Numbers, Counting, Matching, Totals, and Adding. Each area has several options.Numbers -- Starting here, your child clicks each highlighted number from 0 to 10. An object animates on screen for each new number. Counting -- This builds on Numbers. Several objects appear on the screen, and your child clicks on the correct number button. They may keep trying until they get the right answer. Matching -- With this game, your child continues to expand their understanding of numbers and the amount they represent. The options are matching the same numbers, same amounts, and numbers with amounts. Totals -- Here your youngster will see how two numbers can add up to a number they already know. This association is an important step in adding numbers. By selecting each colored box in sequence, your child will add their first numbers. Adding -- Finally, your child puts together the skills they have mastered with this program. After two sets of objects animate on the screen, your child will add them together and click on the correct answer.
