in Ashe Co.,NC, md. Milley Dyer, b. ca. 1807 in VA, md. 23 Dec 1832 in
Wilkes Co.,NC, I don't have death dates, they simply vanished after 1860 census. They came
to Macon Co.,NC in the late 1840s and settled in Walnut Creek area.
They had the following
children:

28 March 1843 in Ashe Co.,NC, d. 1 Aug 1917 in Macon Co.,NC, md. Henry
Jordan Gregory on 18 Dec 1851 in Macon Co.,NC, This couple lived in The Mountain
Grove area of Macon County all their lives. Mary Catherine was a home maker and Henry a
farmer. He served in the Civil War.
- Sarah Blackburn, b. ca.
1837 in Ashe Co.,NC, she died in 1854
- Edmund Sylvester Blackburn, b.
29 Sep 1838 in Ashe Co.,NC, d. 25 Oct 1924 in Macon Co.,NC, he served in the Civil War.
- William F. Blackburn, b.
ca. 1841 in Ashe Co.,NC, d. 22 Nov 1861 in Richmond, VA, in a Military Hospital
- Levi A. Blackburn, b. ca. 1843 in
Haywood Co.,NC, d. 7 Dec 1862 in Taylorsville, TN , in a Military Hospital, md. Nancy
A. Franks in Macon Co.,NC on 9 May 1861
- John Calvin Blackburn, b.
11 May 1851 in Macon Co.,NC, d. 20 Jun 1887, md. Miltilda Arminda Moore in
