Ahhh, the world of Ultima online..
It's addictive. It is stress relieving, as well as stress causing. I work, IRL, in one of the highest stress jobs that one can get into - the complaint dept of a major newspaper. I have hundreds of calls everyday from one person or another and there have been many inventive places where I have been told to place the paper. On top of this, I have my real life. My boyfriend, children, granddaughter and mom - who all live in this same area.
So, when I come home some days is it great to sit down and say... "I'm going to bring my characters fishing to 60", and actually make that goal. Also there is the fact that I can just go off with my warrior and beat the shit out of something or stand behind a group of idiots and just heal for an hour - and guess what - THEY say "Thank you"..... it's amazing.
Yes, Ultima is fantasy, but it is my outlet. My escape from real life.
At this time I only play on the Atlantic Shard and I only have one character: Catonia - she is a beginner character at this time, but I am working on building her up. [Click on Catonia above for her Biography]. When my husband and I separated, I sold my account with my house and three GM characters on there. I really missed it and found out that my ex was not using his account, so I am currently using my ex-husband's account and living in his castle. My room is the oriental room on the bottom floor of the castle with the green tile.
