Nick is a red mackerel tabby male and is one of a litter of six kittens out of CFA GRC Avicats Sophrosina Marfisa, DM and CFA GRC, RW Freedomkatt Tom Cruise, DM. He has great size, bone and substance, with a wonderful square muzzle and lynx tips. Nick is a very large boy. At less than a year and a half old, he was well over 20 pounds with a couple of years of growth to do. He has an excellent mackerel pattern and good coat.
When he isn't busy playing, Nick loves to sleep on laps and to show that he has his mother's rumbling purr. Nick is a CFA Champion. Unfortunately, after puberty we had to make the difficult decision to neuter him as we like to give our cats free run of the house. He then began a new show career as a neuter, where he achieved the title of Premier and was working towards becoming a Grand Premier. Nick enjoyed showing for much of his career, but unfortunately, due his size he experienced some insecure handling at a show (he slipped from the judge's hands and fell partway to the floor more than once at the same show) and as a result Nick became nervous in the show ring. We didn't want to force him to go to shows if he wasn't enjoying them any longer, so he was retired. Nick is now living with a wonderful family and with his uncle CFA GRP Avicats Todevighrono.
Nick's sister, Avicats Maine Ingredient, lives in Europe, where she has been doing very well, even being nominated for a Best in Show as a kitten.
