Thanks to everyone for helping out at the Charlotte show at Latta Plantation Park, on June 25-27.
Congratulations to Olivia Munn for a victorious first outing on Titleholder, "Major." Kari Lawson had winning classes with Bold Irish Spirit, "Sly" and Blackberry Surprise, "Stretch." Congratulations Kari. Dora Huie showed Cherokee's American Dream, "Dude" successfully on Thursday and Saturday.
Reserve Grand Champion in the Country Pleasure Juvenile class is our very own Lesley VanHoy riding Breezin's Backdraft, "Cosmo."
On Saturday Amanda Runge, riding Victoria's Promise and Carolyn Hartsog, aboard Titleist's Classy Dame, "Margaret" represented Wind Crest Stables. They were both successful. Mrs. Carolyn Hartsog went on to show in the Academy Championship Saturday night and was also awarded with success.
Overall, we had a wonderful show (one of our best) and as always, we had a lot of fun!

Academy rider, Nobia Voorhees experienced her first outing on Titleist's Classy Dame at the Dallas show. Debi Hager accomplished her first outing on Sunami. Meredith Layne was very successful, also aboard Titleist's Classy Dame.
Megan McClure aboard Bold Irish Spirit and Lesley Van Hoy on Breezin's Backdraft showed in the Juvenile Show Pleasure class. Kari Lawson showed in the Juvenile Country Pleasure class riding Blackberry Surprise.
During the afternoon break, some of the members of the group watched the Belmont on a TV that Megan brought and shared with her fellow horse lovers.

At the Tarheel Classic on May 1-2, we had a large number of riders who all did very well. There were a total of eight academy riders who participated. They are listed in alphabetical order: Katie Allan, Kelsey Allan, Debi Hager, Carolyn Hartsog, Meredith Layne, Amanda Runge, Shannon Thomas, Nobia Voorhees.
In the show rider division, Megan McClure and Cynthia Matson took their turn riding Bold Irish Spirit. This was Megan's first outing. Congratulations on a jubilant first outing.
Cherokee's American Dream, "Dude" had his first outing in Statesville with rider Dora Huie. Carolyn Hartsog is Dude's proud owner.
Lesley Van Hoy was Reserve Grand Champion Juvenile aboard Breezin's Backdraft. Kari Lawson successfully showed Blackberry Surprise.
Dottie brought her TV to watch the Kentucky Derby while the WCS horse lovers cleaned the tack.
