R&R
When 'troops' arrive home they need to be treated as heroes-no matter what they have achieved.
Why? They have GONE when the vast majority are still pew-warming. Respect them! Honor them! Treat them like royalty!

Accommodation

They need to relax-not clean 50 years of dirt from the oven before they can get the coal in it! Send them somewhere YOU would LOVE to go! Use you ITC-50 (link) card etc. to get them cheap GREAT hotels, etc. Remember, as a bonus factor in all of this that you will reap what you sow. Missionaries often give to live... better to live to give.

Travel

Get them good deals (you know where they are-they don't!) or even better-pay for them.
Can you do without a car? Well, can they? Rent/lend/borrow/buy... Isn't this what the two-car family is all about?!
What about our Christian Japanese used car importers? (Remember, I know how much you pay for those cars!)

Food

Even missionaries need to eat! There must be some restaurant owners out there somewhere.

$Money$

Some cash always helps, too... the kind of amount you would like when you go on holiday.
Sow for your holiday NOW!

The Services of ...

  • Doctors ...
  • Dentists... Ask them when was the last time they had their teeth checked! Did it make you run your tongue over your own!
  • Lawyers ... Just in case. Missionaries have been known to run into immigration problems, too. Sort it out for them!
  • Teachers ... How can you help their kids succeed. What would you want people to do for yours.

Communications (e-mail, webpage updates, etc.)

Most 'troops' will need a local ISP to connect through to check their e-mail. Let them use yours!
(We'll try to ensure their kids don't surf the Internet for too long!)
Most will need to print out letters, etc. Have the printer drivers ready for their laptops.
They haven't got a laptop? Get them one! (if they need one). (Please see this links page for good deals!)
Help them with their newsletters (if no one else has already done it for them-there should be newspaper reporters/ photographers around who can do something great for them!). Be imaginative!
Be prepared with contacts for both Mac and PC.

Anything else you can think of let us know and we will add it to the list.

If we get this thing networked properly then we can have contacts in most places to look after people.
