Elder Adam Corn was born
May 2, 1783 and was one of THE first Baptist ministers in the area. He came from the family of John Peter and Elizabeth Parr Corn. Adam was the grandson of Mathew and Molly Corn of Albemarle Co, Virginia and of John and Miriam Parr of Henry Co, Va.
Hannah Heatherly, Adam's wife, was born in Pendleton District, SC, about 1791; the daughter of John Heatherly and granddaughter of George Heatherly.
Adam was ordained in 1812 at Mud Creek Baptist Church Henderson Co NC. The church was organized by Adam's brother, Noah Parr Corn, in 1804.
Adam and Hannah Corn were solid citizens of their community, devout and highly respected. Here is SOME of their children:

Hannah Corn died Feb 8, 1859; Adam followed Sept 12, 1871. They are buried in Lower Bell Creek Cemetery near Hiawasse, Ga.
