1. Go to the Poem/Singer EU web page
http://geocities.datacellar.net/Heartland/Ranch/3636/POEM.html
and select the first option, "join the mailing list"
Once in the mailing list,
enter your name, password if any, and enter.
In the "search" window,
enter the specific filename if you
know it,
or use base64 . This
finds all the attachments,
even old ones that have no "attach" in the
subject line.
Check the files you find one by one
(some will have attachments other than
csd files).
Save the files you find as text files.
(you simply highlight the WHOLE
file, not just the "gibberish"
and SAVE AS (give a filename.txt).
2. Remove the right margins - the blank spaces, so that all the gibberish
is continous (this is necessary for correct unencoding of the files):
a). Open Wordpad (notepad doesn't have a find/replace
function),
b). Load your .txt file into it.
c).COUNT how many spaces you have in the left margin.
d).Hit CTRL+H or go to
"Edit" > "Replace").
e). In the Find What box enter the number of spaces you
have in your right margin
(hit the "Space" bar that many times) and then
f).
click
on Replace All.
g). Select SAVE AS,
call the file FILENAME.UUE (simply type
the .uue extension at the end of the filename,
h). then save.
This saves the
file as a winzip file.
3. You need Winzip or another similiar unencoding program,
and you simply
double click on the .uue file, and
get your csd file
(sometimes it ends up being called filename.001 or the
like,
and you need to RENAME it to filename.csd,
but it is perfectly useable).
