This page is intended to provide links to a series of pages which will list all SR r-t-r (ready-to-run) rolling stock and will include items currently available and discontinued. The most popular gauges will be covered first (00, 0 and N). These pages will include all types of locomotives, multiple units, passenger and goods stock which were built and/or operated by the SR (Southern Railway) or one of its constituents or one of its successors (e.g. BR Southern Region, and the new TOCs - Train Operating Companies).
Of course, the scope of this index is very wide and will take some time to complete. The plan is to release parts of it as they become available and ask the members of SEmG to help complete each part. The individual pages are generated automatically from an MS Access database, using the built-in features to export a query in html format, thus it is very easy to update any of the information and re-create any page. For HO scale, I recommend that you look at www.british-ho.com for details of SR stock. There are even suggestions on how to make up the correct sets of Bulleid carriages from the Fleischmann models, amongst other modelling tips for the SR modeller.
