My mother always told me, when I became too nosy, to be careful, that "curiosity killed the cat." This is an old saying taken from the fact that cats are notoriously curios and many times get into trouble because of it. They examine everything in their domain, sniffing and soft-footing all about, perhaps licking to find out what it is or picking at it to take it apart to see what it's made of. So, of course, I have many times admonished Ms Kitty to be careful of her curiosity when she was getting into something she shouldn't.

Ms Kittie thinks she is 'People' most of the time but sometimes she thinks she is a Black Panther. She imagines she is stalking all kinds of prey while taking her daily walks. She is just starting out on her morning's adventure. It is a cold gray day but she has a lovely black fur coat to keep her warm. Even if it is 'just cat fur,' she is quite proud of it.

She hears something near the porch and turns back to check it out. She has been told many times that something called 'Curiosity killed the cat.' She hopes that is not who she heard. She doesn't remember ever meeting 'Curiosity' but has always been very careful and hopes that she doesn't.
