Ms kitty hid out in the bedroom on the floor behind the bed for some time. She finally came back to the den and hid in a sunny place in the area behind the couch where the great grandchildren have a little hide-away with their toys and a big window to look out. It is sunny there in the winter and shady in the summer as it is on the south side of the house. The winter soltice is about 37 or 47 degrees if I remember right. It's been 20 some odd years since I built it and figured the sun location so I may be mis-remembering. Any way, the Sun slants way into the solarium, den, and breakfast areas. That's why the solarium is on the south side of the house. It takes advantage of the winter sun in keeping it warm and bright. In the summer the sun travels down the north side of our house and the south side is shaded and the north protected some by the over hanging eaves. |
Ms Kitty stayed behind the couch and thought and thought and thought. She was afraid to go to sleep because that obnoxious ball thing might take after her again. She finally decided she might ought to run away so she wouldn't ever be bothered with it again. She had been on her own before; she could do it again. She had a safe place under the neighbors' house. It was very cold but she had been in cold weather before. The door into the solarium was quite near her hiding place and the next time it opened she would go out and let them know she wanted to leave. That would teach them not to throw monsters at her.
