These are the Coat of Arms backgrounds I have made for our site. You may use them as you wish, though I do request that they be used only where the Coat of Arms are applicable, though I must admit I took some liberties with some of the arms. If you would like more information on the Coats of Arms, please feel free to contact me at

The Arms of Roger de Mortimer.

The Arms of Edmond Crouchback, Earl of Lancaster, from the Armorial Wijnbergen. He is found on the Mowbray page.

The standard Arms for the count of Namur.

These Arms were listed in the Armorial de Flanders du XVI ne Siecle, 16th century, as those of Nevers.

The Arms of John de Neville.

The Arms of Henry de Percy from Glover's Roll.

The Arms of William de Plumpton.

The Arms of Saher de Quincy, Earl of Winchester.

The Arms of Baldwin de Reviers, Earl of Devon, from the Camden Roll.

The Arms of Walter de Ridelsford, Baron of Bray.

The Arms of William de Ros.

The Arms of Robert de Scales from the Caerlaverock Poem.

The Arms of Henry le Scrope.

The Arms of Hugh VI, Sire de Lusignan. These arms were found recorded in Cyprus during the first Crusade.

The Arms of Roger de Somery from Walford's Roll, ca. 1275.

The Arms of Nicholas de Stafford.

The Arms of Brian Stapleton of Yorkshire.

This was taken from one of those Web sites selling what they claim are "family" coats of arms. I am still doing research to see if it actually belongs to someone on this Strickland page.

Though I don't like the idea of using arms that were not granted to someone on the page, I am reasonably sure these belonged to someone in the same Tempest family. The bend (diagonal line) may have been engrailed (with wavy edges).

The Arms of Ralph de Tony from St. George's Roll, 1285.

The Arms of Robert de Ufford, Earl of Suffolk, from Charles Roll.

The Arms of William de Valoynes from the Camden Roll.

The Arms of Robert de Vere, Earl of Oxford, from Lord Marshal's Roll. I beleive it was also used by Aubrey de Vere, who added the mullet (star).

The Arms of John de Vipont from Glover's Roll ca. 1258.

The Arms of William de Warenne, Earl of Surrey (and Earl of Warenne).
