A bit about the Berger's
We moved to
Northwest coast of Florida from Nokomis, Florida to become clam farmers.
That's right ....clam farmers! To find out more about Farm-Raised Clams you can go to our page. It should take you to my explanation and
some links. Our family consists of my husband, myself and four boys, ages 15, 13, 5 &
8 months.
Jacob is 15 and goes to the local school in Cedar Key. A very small school
on the west coast of Florida. Also rated one of the top schools in Florida. He is involved
in Taekwondo, the Journalism Club and Scuba diving. He is currently a 1st Dan Black Belt
and will be taking his test soon to become a 2nd Dan. He is also very interested in
animals...he has 2 dogs, and a hedgehog named Meeko. I have to mention that he all time
love right now is GAMES!!! Almost any game and he has LOTS!! Although he always wants
more! Typical. You can see his page at Hopefully he will be having more for me to
add to it soon. It is still a work in progress
Dustin is 13 and has Downs Syndrome. This doesn't hold him back though and he is
most eager to try new things. A true asset to our family. Dustin goes to school in Bronson
which is a bit of a bus ride from here but he seems to take it in stride. He does well in
school and basically is about 3 to 5 years behind where he "should" be. Dustin
can do anything any other kid can do some things just take longer to learn. It just
depends on whether or not he wants to. Typical Kid! He is taking Taekwondo
and recently passed for his lt. Blue Belt. His picture was in the paper
when he made purple Belt which is the half way point to Black and we were so proud of him.
His favorite show is the Power Rangers and All That! He loves all sports and the outdoors.
He is also an avid (not as avid as his older brother) game player. If your interested in
more information on Downs try this page Family Empowerment Network
they have many useful links and it helped me find countless pages
of information to help Dustin. He's a great kid and loves to help mom in the kitchen. He
has chores and does them better than his brother's. A true character and never ceases to
amaze me or his dad. See what Dustin is up to and some of his pictures on his page Dustin's Adventure's
Joshua, he turned 5 in October. He is a very headstrong little boy with a sweet smile and adorable blue eyes! His favorite shows are,
like his brother Power Rangers and Little Bear. He also likes to build with his Legos and
play with his cars among his many other toys. Joshua also goes to Cedar Key and is in the
Pre K class. He loves
school but hates nap time. His best buddy is Cole. His older brothers are turning him into
a little Nintendo guru. He plays every chance he gets. He also likes the computer when he
can get mom off of it. He gets along great
with his older brothers and loves to help with the baby. See more about Joshua at Joshua's
Treehouse
Last but not least there is Darrius. He was born last February and is as cute as
he can be. He has a smile that can melt your heart and usually does. Definitely a
mover always on the go and into everything around him lately. He is already standing and
it won't be long before things are moved up another level. He really is a picture perfect
"Gerber" baby but then again I am his mother. Judge for yourself he has his own
page also. Darrius' First Year
My name is Tina and I moved to Florida form Illinois 20 years ago. This is
where I met my husband, Fred and we've been married for 19 years (this Jan.). He is the love of my life and takes very
good care of me and the boys. I graduated from Jefferson High School, Rockford, IL in
1975. I like Photography and take LOTS of pictures of my kids and sunsets (they are
beautiful here!). Check them out on my Sunset Picture Page!
I also love working on my
computer and I learn new things everyday! I am currently taking online classes to learn
all I can about them. You can see some of my homework for these classes here. My greatest
passion is making web pages and designing graphics. I hope to make this a career someday.
I also have a wonderful family back in Illinois, Mom & Dad,
3 sisters, 4 nephews and 2 nieces. Not to mention my second mom Aunt Bela who also lives
in Illinois. I also have a fantastic brother in California who has been so very helpful
and inspiring in helping me to do this web page. He gave me the push I needed 2 years ago to get started
now there is no stopping me. So Tom it's all your fault.
If you like cooking check out the site he did for his wife Vikki's Cooking Links.
I'll stop here before you get too
bored. Now check out my other pages and have fun. Just remember that I'm always changing things so check back often!
Bye
