1.1 We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally Inspired in all parts and therefore wholly inerrant as originally given by God. The Bible is, then, the supreme and final authority in faith and practice. (Psalm 119:89; proverbs 30:54; John 10:35; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22:18-19).
2.1 We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30:1 Corinthians 8:6; II Corinthians 13:14).
3.1 We believe in the absolute deity of the Son; that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary, and is perfect God and perfect Man. (John 1:1, 18; 5:23; Romans 9:5; Hebrews 1:8).
4.1 We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He was active in creation and is active in redemption. He indwells, baptizes, seals, anoints, empowers, guides, teaches, and fills the Christian (John 3:6-7 ,16:13-14; Roman 8:14-27; I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13-14; 5:18; I John 2:27).
5.1 We believe that God created the heaven and the earth, including all forms of life, by direct act, and not by any process of evolution. (Genesis 1-2; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 11:3).
6.1 We believe that man was created in the image of God, that Adam sinned and thereby fell from his sinless state and incurred physical and spiritual death, so that now all men are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice, positively inclined to practice evil; and so are under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or excuse. (Genesis 1:27; 3:1-24; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:10-19,23; 5:12).
7.1 We believe that the LORD Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and died for our sins as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, fully satisfying the justice of God for the sin of man, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (Matthew 1:20; Roman 5:9; I Corinthians 15:1-4:11 Corinthians 5:21:1 Peter 1:18-19; 2:24; I John 4:10).
7.2 We believe that God has provided a way of salvation from the consequences of sin through Christ's shed blood on the cross. This salvation is available to all mankind. The sinner can believe this provision only after hearing the Gospel and being convicted by the Holy Spirit. (John 16:8; Roman 1.16-17:1 John 2:2)
7.3 We believe that the obtaining of salvation is in part dependent upon God. God the Father designed the plan to make a repentant sinner holy before Him. God the Son provided the way of salvation by securing for a repentant sinner the payment for sin, the release from sin, and the assurance of salvation. God the Holy Spirit secures a repentant sinner's salvation by convicting the sinner with the truth of God's Word, and then, by Himself being the down payment of salvation within each believer until his entrance into Heaven (Ephesians 1:4-6, 7-12, 13-14; John 16:1-16).
7.4 We believe that the obtaining of salvation Is impossible apart from a personal voluntary choice of the sinner. He must put his complete trust in the Person of Christ as his Saviour. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10)
7.5 We believe that the Scriptures teach that the new birth is a change in the soul by which a new nature and spiritual life, not before possessed are imparted, and the person becomes a new creation in Christ. (John 3:3-6; II Corinthians 5:17; I Peter 1:23;.Titus 3:5)
7.6 We believe that repentance is a gift of God that brings the voluntary change of mind in the sinner in which he turns from sin with all of his heart. (Acts 5:31:11:18; II Timothy 2:25).
7.7 We believe that the salvation of every believer is secure for all eternity from the moment of salvation. (John 5:24; 10:27-30; Romans 8:1; Hebrews 7:25).
8.1 We believe in the bodily resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ, and His bodily ascension into heaven and His bodily presence at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 8:34; Hebrew 7:25; 9:24; I John 2:1).
9.1 We believe In the personal, bodily, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our LORD Jesus Christ. (John 14:1-3; II Thessalonians 2; I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
10.1 We believe that Satan is literal and personal, that he was the agent of the fall, and the prince and power of this world, and that he shall be judged and eternally punished along with his host of demons. (Matthew 4:1-3; II Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:1-4; Revelation 20:1-10).
11.1 We believe that the church is a New Testament Institution that was unknown to the Old Testament prophets; that it was established by Jesus Christ who alone is the Head; that it was purchased with His blood; that it was constituted and empowered on the day of Pentecost by the coming of the Holy Spirit; that all believers, from Pentecost to the Rapture, both the Jew and Gentile, are added to the church by baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 1:8: Acts 2:1-47; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:11-22; 3:1-6; 5:23-27; Colossians 1:18).
11.2 We believe that the local church is an assembly of born again, baptized (by immersion), believers united in organization for teaching, fellowship, observing of the ordinances, and prayer; for a united testimony to carry out the commands and commission of the LORD Jesus. (Acts 2:41-47: Acts 14:23, 27: 20:17; I Corinthians 11:17-20: Galatians 1:2; Philippians 1:1; Thessalonians 1:1; II Thessalonians 1:1).
11.3 We believe that the local church has the absolute right of self-government free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; that the one and only superintendent is Christ through the Holy Spirit; that it scriptural for true churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the gospel; that each local church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation; and that on all matters of membership, of polity, of government, of discipline, of benevolence, the will of the church is final. (Matthew 18:15-17; Acts 15:19-29 1 Corinthians 5:1-13; 6:1-6).
11.4 We believe that the ordinances of the church are two:
(a) Baptism is the immersion of believers in water as a symbol of their union with the death, burial, and resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ, and as a public testimony to their faith in Him; that baptism is a simple act of obedience and offers no special grace or merit with God; and that baptism is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:37-42; 8:12, 37-38; 10:44-48; Romans 6:3-5).
(b) The LORD's Supper is a symbol of the believer's communion with the LORD Jesus Christ and a commemoration of His death until He comes; that the LORD's Supper offers no special merit or favor with God, and should always be preceded by solemn self-examination. We believe that the Biblical order of the ordinances is baptism and the LORD's Supper. (Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 2:42-47; 20:7-11; I Corinthians 10:16-22; I Corinthians 11:23-24).
11.5 We believe that there are two church offices: Pastor (Elder and Bishop being different names for the same office), and Deacon; that the Pastor (s) is to have the general oversight of the church and deacons are spiritual helpers in the mundane. (I Timothy 3:1-7; 5:17; I Peter 5:15; I Thessalonians 5:12-13: Ephesians 4:11-12; Hebrews 13:7, 17; Acts 20:17, 28: Titus 1:5-11; Acts 6:14:1 Timothy 3:8-13; Philippians 1:1).
11.6 We believe that all believers are called into a life of separation. This separation is clearly taught in the Scriptures and involves separation from the world, separation from false teachers, and separation from disobedient believers.
(a) Separation from the world: 1 John 2:15-17; II Corinthians 6:15 - 7:1; Ephesians 5:11; I Thessalonians 1:9; James 4:4.
(b) Separation from false teachers; Galatians 1:8-9; II John.9-11; Romans 16:17-18; I Timothy 6:20-21.
(c) Separation from disobedient believers: Matthew 18:15-18; I Corinthians 5:1-13;. II Thessalonians 3:6, 14-15.
We, therefore, stand in opposition to the World Council of Churches, Ecumenical evangelism, New evangelicalism, The charismatic movement, and any other church, organization, individual or movement that would be in sympathy with them.
11.7 We believe that there are two kinds of spiritual gifts:
(a) Temporary sign gifts - healing, speaking in tongues (unlearned languages), interpretation, and the working of sign miracles -gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established. (I Corinthians 13:8-14:40; II Corinthian 12:12; Hebrews 2:3-4;).
(b) Permanent edifying gift or gifts are given to each member of the Body of Christ at the moment of salvation. These gifts are sovereignly bestowed for the edification of the Body and the accomplishment of the work of Christ. (flown 12:3-8; I Corinthians 12:4-31; Ephesians 4: 7-12; I Peter 4: 10-11).
12.1 We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29)
12.2 We believe that the soul of the redeemed at physical death passes immediately into the presence of Christ; and that such separation of the soul and body will continue until the first resurrection, when soul and body will be reunited to be glorified forever with the LORD. (Luke 23:43; 1 Corinthians 15:3-54; II Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 6:9-11; 20:4-6).
12.3 We believe that the soul of the unsaved at physical death descends immediately into hell, where they are kept under conscious torment until the end of the millennial reign of Christ, when their body is resurrected and reunited with their soul to be judged at the Great White Throne and shall be cast into the lake of fire, cut off from the life of God forever. (Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:1-15).
13.1 We believe in the personal, bodily, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, and imminent return of Christ for His Church, and that at that moment the dead in Christ shall be raised in glorified bodies, and the living in Christ shall be given glorified bodies without tasting death, and all shall be caught up to meet the LORD in the air before the seventieth week of Daniel. (Titus 2:12-13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; I Thessalonians 4:13-17).
14.1 We believe that immediately following the removal of the Church from the earth, the righteous judgment of God shall be poured out upon the unbelieving world. This seven year great tribulation will be culminated by the revelation of Christ. (Daniel 9:24-27; 12:1; Matthew 24: 4-31; II Thessalonians 2:7-12).
15.1 We believe that, after the great tribulation, Christ will return to the earth with the saints to sit upon the throne of David and establish His millennial reign. (Zechariah 14:1-11; Matthew 24:27-31; Acts 1:10-11; Jude:14-15; Revelation 19:1-16; 20:1-6)
16.1 We believe in the sovereign selection of Israel as God's eternal covenant people, that she is now dispersed because of her disobedience and rejection of Christ, and that she will be re-gathered in the Promised Land and, will be saved as a nation at the second advent of Christ. (Genesis 13:14-17; Ezekiel 37:1-28; Romans 11:1-32).
17.1 We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the wicked; that only those who are justified by faith in Jesus Christ and sanctified by the Spirit of our God are truly righteous in His esteem; while all such as continue in impenitence and unbelief are in His sight wicked and under the curse; and this distinction holds among men both in and after death, in the everlasting bliss at the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost in the lake of fire. (Genesis 18:23; Proverbs 14:32; Malachi 3:18; Matthew- 25:34-41; John 8:21; Romans 6:17-18; I John 5:19; Revelation 20:14-15).
