I made the scissor case in an online class with Dianne Lewandowski of Heritage Shoppe.  I liked it so much, I just had to have the matching set. I completed all construction by hand, as well as the embroidery. If you'd like to take the class or get the patterns, just click.  Be sure to browse her site, she has all kinds of great stuff.
A close up of the embroidery on the scissor case. The work consists of shadow stitching, French and boullion knots, Kensington stitch and corderd pin stitch.

Close up of a nightgown yoke.  The embroidery pattern is from Martha Pullen's book, Grandmother's Hope Chest.  The nightgown is Elizabeth Lee Designs Nursing Classics 104.  It's very easy to sew, but runs a bit skimpy through the yoke/chest area, so be sure of your size!  Otherwise, it's a great pattern.

Some handwork I've done for my tiny dolls.

The baby doll is a reproduction Bye-Lo baby made for me by a friend on a crafts board.  She's 5½ inches long and very sweet.  Her name is Tikvah, which means "little jewel."  Her bishop style daygown and bonnet are made from pink linen batiste, handsmocked in white silk floss, trimmed in delicate French laces and silk ribbon.  Her bassinet is made from a wicker basket.  The skirting and pillows are white Savannah lawn with purple embroidery, trimmed with French lace.  The matching quilt features shadow embroidery.

The girl doll is an 8 inch soft body doll with porcelein hands, feet and head.  Her name is Angel.  She wears a smocked bishop dress.  She has several other outfits as well, including a white Christmas dress with red and green smocking, and all white biship dress with swiss embroidery edging, and a pink spring dress with pink, green and white smocking, as well as a white lawn nightgown with pink embroidered flowers and shadow pintucks.
