Item I Give unto My fourth Son RUBEN one negro boy Named Matt After the Marage of his Mistress but and if in case of mortality of WILLIAM and JOELL or Either of them then to fall to the younges bro and if in cease of the Mortality of Either of them still to Decline and fall to the younger. Item I Give and bequeth unto my son JOHN the Land that I had by my Brother WILLIAM HOLOWELL In Virginia and all the Rest of My Land in Virginia to him and his heirs for ever. I, PETER DRAPER, of Perquimans County in North Carolina being in perfect sense and sound memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth Viz: First I recommend my soul to God that gave it me and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Exor hereafter named.2nd My will is that my just debts be fully paid and discharged. 3rd I give to my son JOSEPH DRAPER all my land between THOMAS HOLLOWELL's land and the Dunking Pond and from the plum tree branch to the middle of Pine Island to him and his heirs forever. 4th I give all the rest of my land that is the remainder part of that tract of land both North and South side of the swamp which THOMAS HOLLOWELL and I took up to my son SILAS DRAPER, him and his heirs forever. 5th I give to my son JOSEPH DRAPER one brown cow with a white back to receive her when he sees fit to him and his heirs forever and also one sow and two pigs commonly called his and also my long gun to the said JOSEPH DRAPER to him and his heirs forever.6th I give to my son SILAS DRAPER my short gun to him and his heirs forever. 7th I give to my son THOS DRAPER one iron pestle with two iron wedges and one crosscut saw to him and his heirs forever. 8th I give to my daughter MILICENT DRAPER one featherbed with a trunnel bedstead and what furniture belonging thereof when of age or at the time of marriage to her and her heirs forever. 9th I give to my well beloved wife HANNAH DRAPER all the remainder part of my estate wheresoever to be found to her and her heirs forever. Lastly I do make, ordain and constitute my loving wife HANNAH DRAPER Executrix and my son JOSEPH DRAPER Exor to this my last will and testament making void all other wills and testaments by me made heretofore whereunto I have set my hand and seal this 16th day of April 1764. JOSEPH HOLLOWELL, JUNR., planter, Hyde County, NC. 2 May 1771. Son ARTHUR I give, when arives to the age of Twenty one Years, the Plantation where on I now live, Tenements and all appertaining there to. TABITHA HUMLAR I lend the plantation that I gave to my son ARTHUR for the term of six years and eleven months; I give three sows and two three year old Barrows and what meat and bread kind is now in the house and one gray mare, and the incres of the mare to be devided among my three children. JOHN HUMLAR I given, when arives to the age of twenty one years, a tract of land lying on the west side of the North Dividing Creek, 75 acres more or less, formerly belonging to JOSEPH TART, SENR. TABITHA HUMLAR I lend two milch cows with their increase for the full term of six years and eleven months, not removing them from the plantation that I gave my son ARTHUR; I give one bed and furniture. I deliver in to the hands of my Executors the remainder of my estate to be sold at Publick Vandue and to pay of (off) all lawfull debts and the remainder part of the money to be put out uppon interest till my son JARY(IREY) arives of age and my daughter MARY HOLLOWELL, except my wife waring apperel, and that to be given to my daughter MARY HOLLOWELL when (she) arives to the age of eighteen years. In the name of God amen, I JOSEPH HOLLOWELL of Northampton County & province of North Carolina being sick & weak in body but of perfect & sound memory, & calling to mind the uncertainty of Life & the certainty of death have thought it Expedient to settle my wourldly business in manner & form followeth in the first place I freely give up my soul to God that gave it, secondly to have my body decently intered of my wife thirdly my will & desire is that all my just Debts be honestly & regularly settled - and now as touching this wourlds goods which it hath pleased God to bless me with I shall dispose of in manner & form following, viz. Item I give & bequeath all the above mentioned Land & mill lying on Kirbys Creek to my two sons JOSEPH & THOMAS HOLLOWELL to be Equally divided between them & their heirs forever. Item I give & bequeath to my son JOSEPH HOLLOWELL my negroe man named Jonas to him & his heirs forever. Item I give & bequeath unto my Son THOMAS HOLLOWELL one whip saw, one Hand mill & one black walnut Desk to him & his heirs forever. Item I give & bequeath to my three daughters ESTHUR, SARAH & CHRISTINA HOLLOWELL my negroe man Gidion to them & their heirs forever. Item In Case my two sons JOSEPH & THOMAS HOLLOWELL should die without Issue then the above mentioned mill Land & the rest of their Estates to fall to an equal Division between my three above mentioned Daughters but not until my wifes death. Item I give unto my wife LEAH HOLLOWELL one mare called Domino & all the Estate or Dowry that she did possess of her former husband, TRUMAN MOORE to her & her Disposal. Item I give all the rest of my Estate whatever to be found to be Equally divided between my five children ESTHUR, SARAH, CHRISTINA, JOSEPH & THOMAS HOLLOWELL Equally between them. Item I give THOMAS HASKIT son of WILLIAM my Negro girl named Huldah to Him and the Heirs of His Body Lawfully Begotten forever if He Should Dy without Such Issue it is my will that the above mentioned Negro girl Should Return to JOHN HASKET Son of WILLIAM to Him and His Heirs forever. Item I give to my wife SARAH HOLLOWELL my Negro woman Candis Negro Boys James and Jacob and Negro girl Hannah to Her and Her Disposal. Foerthly I Give to my Dauter SARAH RIDDICK one feather bead and furniture and two Cows and Calves with all other thing that I have Given Hur that shee has had in poseson with them to Hur my Sd Dauter and hur Heirs for Ever and it is my will that my Said Dauter have on Cow and Calf more because Thee has bad Luck with hur Cattle and that must be Hur Shear. Fiftly I Give unto my Dauter MARY RIDDICK one feather bead and furniture and two Cows and Calves with all other things that She has had in poseson Given Her by me to Hur my Sd Dauter and hur Heirs for Ever and that is hur Shear. Sevently I Give to my Dauter ANN EVINS one feather bead and furniture and two Cows and Calves with all other things that Thee has had in poseson Given hur my Sd Dauter and hur Heirs for Ever and that is hur Shear all but as much money as will purches hur a sute of Clouse Equal with the Clouse that hur Sisters had befor. Eightly I Give to my Loving wife CHRISTIAN HOLLOWELL one feather Bead and for it being the bead that She and I has on and my young mare Caled Lou my womans Saddle and bridel and one mans Saddle to hur my Loving wife and hur heirs for Ever. I Likewise Give my Dauter CHRISTIAN WHITE my flocks Staple to hur my Said Dauter and hur heirs for Ever. Also one Feather Bed and furniture Two Cows and Calves and a Negro Girl named Patience and her increase. 3rd I Give to my son JOHN COOK a piece of Land bounded along the head of the millpond Branch which is a Bottom and along sd Bottom to the Buck pond and along the back line to Turner's Swamp Supposed to be one hundred and fifty acres to him and his heirs also one Negro Girl called Beck she and her increase. 4th I give to my son STEPHEN COOK the south side of my plantation on which I now live bounded by the little branch and the great Branch about two hundred acres to him and his heirs. Also one Feather Bed and furniture also a Negro Woman named Jude and her increase after this date also two Cows and Calves. 5th I give to my son JACOB COOK the north side of my plantation from the little branch bounded by the School house branch and Arthurs line about Two hundred acres to him and his heirs also Two Cows and Calves also one Bed and furniture also one Negro Girl named Rose she and her increase. 6th I give to my daughter ZILPHA COOK one feather Bed and furniture also a Negro Girl named Ginna. 7th I give to my daughter SARAH BARNS ten shillings sterling. 8th I give to my daughter MARY HOLLOWELL forty shillings sterling. 9th I give to my daughter MARTHA HOLLOWELL Ten shillings sterling. 10th I give to my son WILLIAM COOK Ten shillings sterling. 11th I give to my son THOMAS COOK Ten shillings sterling. 12 I give to ESTHER BROWN one Feather bed and furniture. 13th I lend to my wife MARTHA COOK two negroes named Sharper and Sol to have the full profit of them during her time not to Demenish or Expose of them any way and after her Death my will is that my son THOMAS have Sharper and my son BENJAMIN have Sol. Also my will is that my wife have the use and profit of all the remaining part of my estate which is not above mentioned consisting of horses cattle sheep and household goods during her life or Widowhood and after her Decease to be Equally divided among my Seven children BENJAMIN, THOMAS, ARTHUR, STEPHEN, JACOB, JOHN and ZILPHA. I also Lend to my Said Wife my Swamp field with two hundred and fifty acres of Land Belonging to it During her Widowhood I also Lend to aforesaid Wife four Negroes During her Widowhood viz: Peter, George, Sesan and Barbra. I Give to my Son DENESON HOLOWELL all my Stock of Cattle running at my Plantation on Pungo River and two Cows and Calves at my Home pen and one heffer Marked in his Mark. I Give to my two Sons two Ewes and Lambs a piece. Then I Give Devise and Bequeath to my Son BENJAMIN HOLLOWELL the plantation on whereon I now live together With all the Land thereunto Belonging with Two hundred and fifty acres of Said Swamp land Called Prices Ridge together with my Water Grist Mill to him and his heirs and Assigns for Ever. Item The rest of my Estate That I have not Given a Way in this my Last Will I Give to my Wife and my two Sons to be Equally Divided between them after my Wifh shall Marry, until then she Is to have the Use of it to bring up my Childrena and young Negroes With any Expence against my Children and Lastly I Appoint my wife MARGRET HOLOWELL Extrx and GEORGE BARROW Extr to this my Last Will and Testament in Witness Where of I have unto Set my Hand and Seal this fifteenth day of December Anno Domi 1784. Lastly I do nominate and Appoint my loving Wife MIRIAM HOLLOWELL and BENJAMIN PERRY my Sole Executrix and Executor to this my last Will and Testament desiring them to See the Same fully Executed and performed. Item I give unto RACHEL NICHAELS one large Iron pot, one chest and pine table, a three pint bason. Item I give unto ELIZABETH OVERMAN one side saddle. Item I give JAMES OVERMAN one pair of Iron wedges and a three year old heafer a quart bason and a small puter dish. I give to ELIZABETH OVERMAN, JUNIOR one quart bason and a box Iron one frying pan. The rest of my Houshold goods and chattles is to be sold as much as will pay my just debts and the rest to my wife during her life and after he death to be equally divided between HENRY OVERMAN and JAMES OVERMAN. Item I give, devise and bequeath unto my son JOHN the land and plantation where I now live bound by lines as followeth: beginning at a pine agreed corner betwixt LEVI HOLLOWELL and THOMAS REDDICK, to a pine agreed corner betwixt MILES HOLLOWELL and JOHN HOLLOWELL thence turning agreed line of marked trees betwixt MILES HOLLOWELL and JOHN to the mouth of a branch, thence up the said branch to a Sasifras and Lilewood stump, thence across a rige to persimmon tree stand in the branch next to where I now live, thence up the said branch to a maple stand in the mouth of a small branch, thence up the said branch as line of marked trees to JESSE CHERRY line, thence merging JESSE CHERRY line to JOHN STEWARTs line, thence down JOHN STEWARTs line to the beginning. I give the above bounded tract of land unto my son JOHN, his heirs administrators and assigns for ever. Also I give him one horse by the name of Princess, two cows and calves and a heffer in possession and their issue and all my cooper's tools and my carpenters tools, one sheep - and all the rest and residue of my goods, chattels and household stuff. Viz I give my Brother JESSE STALLINGS the four Acres of Land that I bought of JOSHUA WHITE to him and his Heirs for ever.Viz I give to my Brother SOLOMON STALLINGS Sixty Acres of land Lying in the _____ it being part of a pattent containing one hundred and twenty two acres. The Land shall Lye and be in the Northwest End of the pattent to him and his Heirs for ever. After all of my just debts and Contracts is paid out of my Estate then I Will all the Remainder of my Estate to be Equally devided between RUBEN and JOB and MARY COLLEYs children and PRICILLAH, SARAH, ZILPAHs children, JESSE, PENINAH, SOLOMON STALLING to them and their Heirs for ever. Item - I give unto my Daughter RACHEL WELCH one feather bed & furniture one Pewter Dish one Bason & three Plates which she has got in her possession which I give unto her & her heirs for Ever. Item - I give and bequeath unto my three Daughters after my decease namely RACHEL WELCH, RHODA BUNCH & SARAH WELCH one Negro Girl by the name of Rachel & her increase to be equally divided among them and their heirs for ever desiring that the same Girl named Rachel may not be sold out of the family and the Purchase of thereon may have Nine Months Credit to pay each heir their equal part unto the other sisters & their heirs. Item - I give & bequeath unto my four Sons LUKE, JOHN, ABNER, MOSES HOLLOWELL three Negroes namely Betty, Nan & Kadar to be equally divided among them & their heirs for ever desiring that the same Negroes may not be sold out of the family the Purchase of the same having Nine months to pay the other Heirs their equal shares & if any of the Heirs either Male or female should not be agreeable thereto & shall be put off which what part or parts as are forementioned & no more. Will of ZACHARIAH MORRIS, Wayne Co., NC. State of North Carolina, Wayne County. To all persons to whom these presents shall come or that may be concerned herewith know ye that I ZACHARIAH MORRIS of the State and County aforesaid do make and ordain these presents to contain my last will and testament in form and manner following. Whereas I have heretofore given to all my children parts of my estate and being now very old and unable to do much labor I given unto my daughter SARAH HOLLOWELL five shilings. I give unto my son ZACHARIAH MORRIS five shillings. I give unto my son ISAAC MORRIS five shilings. I Give unto my son THOMAS MORRIS five shillings. I give unto my grandson JOHN DAVIS five shillings. Imprimus, I commit and most humbly bequeath my Soul to God my maker beseeching his most Gracious exceptance of it through the alsufficient merits and mediation of my most Compassionate Redeemer Jesus Christ, who gave himself to be an attonement for my Sins who is able to Save to the Utmost all that come unto God by him. I ARTHUR HOLLOWELL of the County of Halifax and State of No. Carolina Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die and being at this time in a low State of Health do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament. Imprimis I lend unto my wife ELIZABETH HOLLOWELL during her Natural Life or widowhood one Negro Girl by the name of Annie Also two feather beds, bedsteds and furniture also two Sows and Pigs purchased of JOHN BELL & two Cows I Give unto my wife one Sorrel Mare Bridle & Sadle. 2nd it is my desire that all my Just debts be paid out of the remainder of my property and Should there be any residue after Completing that object it is my will that the said residue together with the above mentioned property left to my wife after her Death or the termination of her Widowhood which ever may happen first be equally divided between my three Children (viz't). WINEFORD SHARLOCK, WILLIAM DEANS, NOAH REDDICK & my friend DEMPSEY SHARLOCK act as Executors to this my last will & testament. I, THOMAS HOLLOWELL of the County of Perquimans and State of No. Carolina do make & ordain this my last will and testament in manner as followeth to wit. 1st It is my will that all my Just debts be discharged by those whom I appoint to Execute this will. 2nd It is my Will & Desire that my land be divided into three parts in the following manner that the line which divides & lays the south division begin in the Creek at the shipyard landing thence through the Swamp a strait course to the old Cow Bridge thence a strait course to my back line in such a direction as to Include one third of the high land exclusive of Creek & Creek Swamp & marsh thence by my southward & Eastward boundary to the first station - The division on the North part of my land to be as followeth to begin in the Creek at the Publick landing then a strait course through the swamp to the mouth of a Small branch making out of the Creek Swamp it being the first above the large branch or Swamp runin up by my orchard thence from the mouth of Said branch to the head thence a strait course to where my road crosses a branch at the southeast corner of my roadfield thence along my road toward the plantation to a branch or pond known by the name of the hide pond thence up said branch to the back side of my plantation thence a strait course to my back line So as to Include one third of my high land exclusive of Creek & Creek Swamp thence by my Northern & Eastern boundary to the first Station - 3rd I give & bequeath unto my son JOHN HOLLOWELL the Southern division of my land as Included in the first paragraph of Division with all the Swamp & Creek in said boundary only reserving the use thereof to my wife MARY HOLLOWELL during her widowhood. I also give my said son JOHN my Barn, one half of my Shoemaking Tools, one half of my carpenters tools & one whip Saw said Land, barn & tools to him & his heirs forever. 4th I give & bequeath unto my Son THOMAS HOLLOWELL the middle division of my Land it being the part whereon my dwelling house stands with all the Creek & Swamp included in said middle division only reserving the use thereof to my wife MARY HOLLOWELL during her widowhood also reserving my shoemaking shop to my son AARON HOLLOWELL I also give my said son THOMAS the other half of my shoemaking tools said Land & tools (allowing the reserves herein mentioned) to him & his heirs forever. 5th I give & bequeath unto my Son AARON HOLLOWELL the northern division of my land including the Creek & Swamp in said boundary only reserving the use thereof to my wife MARY HOLLOWELL during her widowhood, I also give my said son AARON my shoemaking shop and one hand Mill which I desire my said wife to keep in her care till he arrives to Lawful age, said land, shop & mill (allowing the reserves aforesaid) to him & his heirs forever. 6th I give & bequeath unto my son NATHAN HOLLOWELL Two Hundred Silver Dollars to him & his heirs forever, but if either of my aforesaid sons JOHN, THOMAS, or AARON HOLLOWELL should die before they arrive to the age of Twenty one years it is my will that my son NATHAN Should have his part of the Land so devised & that the money given to my said son NATHAN be equally divided between him & the two surviving brothers to him and his heirs forever & them & their heirs. 7th I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife MARY HOLLOWELL one fether bead & furniture her choice of my riding beasts one cow & calf & one linnin wheel to her & her disposal. 8th I give & bequeath unto my Daughter SARAH HOLLOWELL one Feather bead & furniture one Cow & calf one linnen wheel, & one Iron pot to her & her heirs forever. 9th I give & bequeath unto my Daughter MARY D. HOLLOWELL one feather bead & furniture only reserving the use there of unto my wife aforesaid during her widowhood to her & her heirs forever. 10th I give & bequeath unto my Daughter REBECA HOLLOWELL one Feather bead & furniture (only reserving the use thereof to my said wife during her widowhood) to her & her heirs forever. 11th I give the use of all the remaining part of my Estate not heretofore mentioned together with the use of my Land and Premises to my wife MARY HOLLOWELL during her widowhood but if in case she should Marry I give said remainder then to be equally divided amongst her my son NATHAN & my three daughters SARAH, MARY D., & REBECCA HOLLOWELL, but if in case NATHAN should become possessed of one Division of the land by the death of one of his brothers then that his part of said remainder be divided equally Among him & his two surviving brothers but if my said wife should continue in widowhood during her natural life I give said remainder at her deceas to be divided amongst my son NATHAN & my three Daughters aforesaid in the same manner & with the same proviso as aforesaid. 12th And lastly I nominate constitute & appoint my wife MARY HOLLOWELL my Executrix & her Brothers RESTORE LAMB & JOHN LAMB my Executors to see this my will fulfiled & done hereby Ratifying & Confirming this and no other to be my last will & Testament in manner & form as it now stands according to the true intent and meaning thereof. The foregoing will was wrote by me THOMAS HOLLOWELL & contains my last will & testament but for want of witness present it is not signed and if in case it should not hereafter be done I desire it may not be set a Side or made void on that account, as my hand writing is pretty well known, I believe there are many who can Testify thereto. In the Name of God Amen I JOEL HOLLOWELL of North Carolina and County of Perquimans being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing that it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to say such worldly Estate as God hath been pleased to bless me with in this Life I Give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. I annominate and appoint my beloved wife RACHEL HOLLOWELL and JOEL SAWYER in Pasquotank County for to be my hole and sole Executors for to see this my Last will and testament performed in manner as above said in Witness whereof & the sd JOEL HOLLOWELL have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth Day of June one thousand Eight hundred and seven. Will of JOHN OVERMAN, Wayne Co., NC. Be it remembered that I, JOHN OVERMAN, SR. being weake of body but of Sound mind and memory calling to mind that all have once to dye do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and forms as follows to with (First) my will and desire is that all my Just debts be paid out of my Estate. 2nd I give unto my beloved wife SARAH OVERMAN all my lands that I am now possesed of during the term of her natural life and after her death to my son JESSE OVERMAN to him his heirs and assigns forever. 3rd I give and bequeath unto my son ARON OVERMAN fifteen shillings in money. 4th I give and bequeath unto my son THOS. OVERMAN fifteen shillings in money. 5th I Give and bequeath unto my son JOHN OVERMAN fifteen shillings in money. 6th I give and bequeath unto my son JESSE OVERMAN fifteen shillings in money. 7th I give and bequeath unto my daughter SARAH OUTLAND one bead and furniture. 8th I give and bequeath unto my daughter MARY MAYO one bead and furniture. 9th I give and bequeath unto my daughter MIRIAM HOLLOWELL seven pounds in money. 10th I give and bequeath the remainder part of my estate to my beloved wife SARAH OVERMAN to her and her heirs for ever. Lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved wife SARAH OVERMAN and ROBERT FELLOW, SR. Executors of this my last will and testament and I hereby revoke all former wills in witness here of have here unto seet my hand and afixed my Seal the 6th day of the 4 month 1811. JOHN OVERMAN. In the name of god I ELIZABETH HOLLOWELL of Bertie County and State of No carolina being in perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following viz. Item 1st I lend unto my loving mother BISHIABE SHARROCK one Sorrel mare Two cows and calves of the first chice of all my stock of sheep one pot one tea kettle & one Dutch oven, and after the death of my mother my will and desire is that the above property loaned her should be equally divided between my three children WINNIFRED S. HOLLOWELL, WILLIAM D. HOLLOWELL, NOAH R. HOLLOWELL, to them their heirs and assigns forever. Item 2nd I give and bequeath unto my daughter WINNIFRED S. HOLLOWELL, one Feather Bed and furniture, to her, her Heirs and assigns forever. Item 3rde All the balance of my estate after paying my debts and funeral Charges I wish to be equally divided between my three children to wit - WINNIFRED S. HOLLOWELL, WILLIAM D. HOLLOWELL, & NOAH R. HOLLOWELL to them their Heirs and assigns forever. Item 4th I nominate and appoint my friend WILLIAM HINTON, as my Executor to this my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this first day of January in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen. State of No. Carolina, Wayne County. To all persons to hoom this shall concern. I Being weak of body but of Sound and perfect memory Thought it Expedient to settle my worldly affairs in manner and form as followeth. Viz. My will and desire is that all my Just Debts be settled by my Executors hereafter named. I Give and bequeath unto my Grandson JOAB PADGETT one bed bedstead and furniture. Also one other bed bedstead and furniture to my Grandson JOHN PADGETT. And one other Bed bedstead and furniture to my Grand Daughter SALLY PADGETT. - After their grandmothers Death. The balance of my property wherever to be found I give and bequeath to my Wife SARAH COOK During her natural life but after her death I leave it to be Sold and the money Equally Divided betwixt my four Grandchildren -Namely JOAB, ELIZABETH, SALLY and JOHN PADGETT. Lastly I nominate and appoint JOSEPH HOLLOWELL, SR. and STEPHEN COOK, JR.. Exers To this my last Will and Testament in witness hear of I set my hand & seal this 3rd Day October 1817. JOHN COOK. To all persons whom these may concerne or may be come therewith having thought it Expedient Considering this uncertainty of time in this world; to Settle my worldly Business and Dispose of my little property in manner and form as followeth vizt. Being in perfect mind and memory. In the first place my will is that all my Just debt be Rightly Settled By my Executors hereafter Named. Secondly I Give unto my wife MARTHA HOLLOWELL the use of my plantation where I now live, with all the Houses and woodling land Serfecient to Support it With Two fether beds and furniture one large pine Chest and as much of the other part of my house hold and Kitchen furniture as She may think necessary & also plantation Tools with a Sufficiency of my Stock of all kinds as may be thought Necessary during her natural life or widowhood and lastly I give unto my above said wife one horse gear& Reeding Chear also one fether bed and furniture and one Hundred & fifty dollars to her and here disposals. Item I Give to my Son CALEB HOLLOWELL a certain piece or parcel of land lying on Turner Swamp Beginning at the mouth of the big branch and up the Said Swamp & branch fare enough to make three hundred & fifty acres to him and his heirs forever his Mothers life time Excepted in it but giving him liberty to clear on the said and also to have full previledg to what he has already Cleared also one fether bed 7 furniture one Cow and Calf also my Turner Shop Tools one Small Laythe one large one to him and his heirs forever. Item I Give and Bequeath unto my son WILLIAM HOLLOWELL Two Hundred Dollars to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and Bequeath unto my Sones JOSEPH, THOMAS & STEPHEN HOLLOWELL Ten dollars to Each of them to them their heirs forever. Item I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter CHARLOTT NEWSOM fifteen Dollars to her and her heirs forever. Item I give and Bequeath unto my three Daughters SELIA, MARTHA, GUILEMARRIAH HOLLOWELL to Each of them one Fether Bed & furniture & Cow & Calf to them and their heirs forever my will is that all the Remaining part of my land that I am perssed with Except that which I have given to my son CALEB I leave to be Sole & also all the Remaining part of my other property which I have not given away also to be sold and my Just Debts to be paid out of it and the Remainder to be Equally divided Between my Eight Daughters AGGATHA OUTLAND, SARAH FORT, LEAH PEARCE, MARY PHILLIPS, CHARLOTT NEWSOM, SELIA, MARTHA and GULIELMARIA HOLLOWELL to them their and heirs forever. And lastly I nominate my son in law EXUM OUTLAND and my son CALEB HOLLOWELL Executors to this my last Will and Testament. JOSEPH HOLLOWELL. Be it remembered that I MARTHA SIMMS of Wayne County and State of North Carolina do make and order this my last will and testament Revoking and disanuling all otheres heretofore make by me. Item I give to my son DAVID SIMMS two Sows & pigs two cows & calfs two sheep one bed & furniture also one mare by the name of Gin. Item I give my daughter ELISABETH SIMMS one bed an furniture also I give to my two sons JOHN SIMMS & DAVID SIMMS one half of my pork when fattenin also my barns & corn one half of my fodder also I give to my three sons JAMES & JOHN & DAVID SIMMS also I give to my grandaughter AN SIMPLICITY SIMMS one negro child by the name of Ireney provided there be no other p'tion in my Estate in be halfe of sd AN SIMPLICITY SIMMS if there should be any law suit ____ on no above mentioned by her guardian my other person for her my will is that the negro child Ireney return back and be equally divided among the hole of rest of my children & that the negroes that I have lent off to my children be broat in and the hol of my negro to be divided among my four sons four daughters to wit ROBERT & JAMES and JOHN & DAVID SIMMS & MARY WOODARD & PATIENCE COOK & SARAH HOLLOWELL & ELISABETH SIMMS to them & there heirs forever also my will is that all the rest of the heirs give up there wright to the land fell to them by the death of there brother BRITIN SIMMS to JAMES & JOHN & DAVID SIMMS to them ROBERT SIMMS & MARY WOODARD & PATIENCE COOK & SARAH HOLLOWELL & ELISABETH SIMMS other wise the valuation of the land to be deducted in the division of the negroes. Item I give to my two eldest daughters MARY WOODARD & PATIENCE COOK fifty dollars each to them & there heirs forever if a balance. Ten dollars to MARY WOODARD & PATIENCE COOK and if still a balance To be equally divided among all my living children. Itime I do appoint my trusty friend BENJAMIN SIMMS, WILLIAM DEW & JESSE BARNES my whole & sole Executors of this my last will and testament ratifying & confirming the same under my hand & Seal this 4th day August 1821.
